Pairing: Erik Christensen/Ryan Whitney
Rating: G
Summary:
Ryan watches Erik find solace in song after the passing of grandfather. Song mentioned is "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men.

Sad eyes are hidden behind long, full lashes. Lips that rarely curl halfway up, find themselves turned completely opposite in an almost heartbreaking frown. His head nods along to the rhythm he plays, fingers working slowly along guitar strings . The sound that surrounds him is familiar, yet so out of place coming from the instrument on his lap. That in itself could be sadder than the image, if I didn’t know it was in solace.

“I know you’re shining down on me from heaven...”

He’s always had his own way with emotions, I’ve always had my own part in that. This time, that part is just audience.

Pairing: Andre Roy/Zach Parise
Rating: G
Summary: Andre muses on his future. Stems from an RPG I am involved in.

I've always had an image of the perfect future. The beautiful wife, three adorable kids, two dogs running around a grassy yard in Quebec.

Not long ago, I was well on my way to that. I had the beautiful wife, an adorable daughter, two dogs running around a grassy yard in Pittsburgh. Then he came along, and that vision...changed forever.

But the only change, to my surprise...he took the place of the beautiful wife. Perfectly, he slipped into an image I've held for most my life.

I think that means this, with him, is it.

Pairing: Sergei Fedorov/Nikolai Zherdev
Rating: G
Summary: Sergei's greeted by a pair of bright eyes after his trade to Columbus.

Bright eyes stare at me, just above a happy smile. Those eyes have yet to leave me, but that’s nothing new. I’m used to the attention, I expected that arriving here. I just didn’t expect the most attention to come from a teammate.

The look is admiration, a young man gazing at his hero. That’s what he is, and what I am to him. I know I should leave that look be, and spare his purity, but I can’t. I’ve never been able to resist eyes so bright.

Softly, my lips meet his; those eyes, that smile, are forever changed.

Pairing: Marc Denis/Brent Johnson
Rating: G
Summary: Marc watches Brent and his son play on Christmas day. Pointless sap AHOY!
Summary: This is somewhat connected to Incredible, which stems from an RPG I'm involved in. That's really all there is to know.

Looking at this scene right now, you'd never know bad things existed in the world. Brent, dressed as my 6'3" elf is sprawled across the floor with our angel son, complete with a halo, playing Tonka trucks. Circling around them, Doc the Beagle Reindeer runs happily, blinking antlers lighting his path. While I, clad head to toe in Santa garb, watch on, hoping that I can't explode from the beauty before me. There's nothing outside of this room right now. There's just us in the world, happiness, and candy canes. And that's perfect. This is what Christmas is all about.

Pairing: Marc Denis/Jody Shelley
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Jody doesn't score much, but he scored 2 goals in the Columbus Blue Jackets' game on 11-9. Marc owes him special treats because of it. Marc's POV.

"You owe me," He says with a gap-toothed grin.

"Owe you?" I scoff. "You didn't even get the game winner,"

His grin grows broader. "So? Without ME, YOU wouldn't have won, now would you?"

I pause for a moment, scratching at my chin, pretending to give great thought to his statement. Doing that earns me a growl, and roughly he pulls me down to him, driving his lips onto mine.

"You KNOW you owe me. Now pay up, bitch."

I grin at him, nodding my head, then leaning down and stealing a quick kiss. "I'll get the handcuffs..."
