Join no more than four clauses together with any method.

 

What’s a clause?

 A clause is a subject and a verb that go together.

The sentence below has one clause.

He ran.

The sentence below has two clauses.

He ran and the dog chased.

 

The sentence below has seven clauses, which is just too many for one sentence.

Suddenly, the young man veered to the left as the motorcycle appeared in his lane, so his car skidded onto the shoulder just as the  squad-car turned the corner, which also used the left side of the road, and that caused the accident that you see here.
