Chanquillo, the oldest solar observatory in America.

Located on a hill, which the movement of the Sun during the whole year coincides with one of the 13 towers, been able to define the solstices and equinoxes.

Tour Season:

All Year (Best season in Summer: January to March. Trips to see the sunrise, can be set up only by request.)

Special Set Departure:
The 18th to 20th of March 2024.

The purpose of the visit is to see the first sunrise of the Equinox and the last Sunset of the Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.

TRIPS POLICIES / RESERVATIONS

Reservations, can be made ONLINE Contact Uswith 5 days in advance if you are in Peru, you will receive an email for previous confirmation. We do not accept Credit Cards.

PLANNING TRIP ONLINE:
All the reservations that are received with more than 30 days in advance (however 8-12 weeks in advance is recommended especially during the months of May, June, July and August) to the date of departure, it will be confirmed by e-mail and it will be needed to have the total payment 3 weeks, before the date of departure.
