NEW LAWS AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION

City Snowmobile Street Maps are available at the City Police Dept.
SNOWMACHINES ON STREETS
Click the snowmachine sign on the menu bar to read all of the laws.
No ATV's or ORV's (wheeled or tracked) are allowed on City streets or City trails.
Speed limits on City Streets are 20mph.
Operation is PROHIBITED in the City between the hours of 1:00am. to 6:00am.
Must come to a complete stop at each and every intersection even if the intersection is not posted for a stop.
Operation on City streets is restricted to only the far right hand portion of the street that has been plowed.
Operation is prohibited on snow banks, sidewalks, or bicycle paths.
No person shall operate a snowmachine on the private property of another person, unless posted Open to Snowmobiles.
Operator shall hand signal all turns and stops.

BOOSTER SEATS
Starting July 1, 2008....Until they're 8 YEARS OLD or 4'9", children MUST use a booster seat.
Until children are 8 years old or 4'9" they can be too big for a child car seat but too small for a safety belt. A booster seat makes safety belts fit properly and reduces the risk of injury in a crash.

MOTOR VEHICLE SOUND
An owner,operator,person in charge of, in possession,exercising control over or responsible for a motor vehicle, whether in operation or parked, on public or private property, from which sound,music,noise,loud voices and the like, produced by radio,phonograph,stereo system,compact disc player, cassette player, eight track, television set, amplified or unamplified musical instrument,microphone, sound system,sound amplification device or any other means of sound production, is plainly audible at a distance of thirty(30) feet from the vehicle which is the source of the above referenced noise is guilty of a misdemeanor.
