Despite all the housework I have done
I’m no Cinderella let me tell you,
and of step-sister’s I only have one.
As far as the grand search for the shoe,
we both shop for our own thank you.I’ll also let you in on a little secret,
the thing with the prince, our taste differ greatly,
besides aren’t all men THE prince charming,
at least that is what I’ve been told by many.Any mice I know would rather unmake a gown,
to line their nest, no matter how grand,
and while I love to dance, that fancy ball
with the midnight curfew sounds quite dull. The only way I’ll go coach these days
is by flying, I’m not riding in a pumpkin dray.
Oh, and I’ll pass on the fairy godmother too,
I’m long past the age of anyone telling me what to do.So be careful what you read to your little princess
for reality isn’t a fairy tale, just ask me, be my guest.
