"Special Way"

Go far enough and you will reach
a place where the sea runs underneath.
We'll see our shadow,
high in the sky, dying away in the night.

I've sailed the world for seven years,
and left all I love behind in tears.
Won't you come, whoever you are,
I've been alone long enough.

You have your own special way,
Of holding my hand and keeping it way above water.
Don't let go. You have your own special way,
of turning the world so it's facing the way
that I'm going, don't ever stop.

Who's seen the wind? Not you or I,
But when the ship moves she's passing by,
Between you and me... I really don't think,
She knows where she is going at all.

You have your own special way
of carrying me twice around the world.
Never closer to home
than the day I started

What mean the dreams, night after night?
The man in the moon's a blinding light.
Won't you come out whoever you are?
You've followed me quite long enough.

The days are dim without your bright smile. Your legacy, by testimony of so many, is the love, compassion and devotion you gave.

You are loved, you loved to but your pain over shadowed the pain you would leave behind.

You are not forgotten loved one nor will you ever be, as long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now our hearts are sore, as time goes by we'll miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face no one can fill your vacant place.
Favorites: bicycle riding, reading, puzzles.

Nobody Knows

I pretend that you never went away. These four walls closin' more everyday and I'm dying inside and nobody knows but me...

Like a clown I put on a show, the pain is real even if nonbody knows, and I'm cryin' inside and nobody knows but me...

Why didn't I say The things I needed to say, How could I let me anger get away, now my world is just a tumblin' down, I can see it so clearly, but your know where around.

The nights are long a the days are so sad,I just keep thinkin' about the love that we had, and I'm missin' you, And nobody knows but me...

I carry a smile when I'm broken in two, and I'm nobody without someone like you,I'm termblin' inside and nobody knows it but me...

I lie awake it a quater past three I'm screamin' at night as if I thought you'd you hear me, yeah my heart is calling you, and nobody knows but me...

How blue can I get you can ask my heart, but like a jigsaw puzzle it's torn all apart, A million words couldn't say just how I feel, A MILLION YEARS FROM NOW YOU KNOW I'LL BE LOVING YOU STILL.

The nights are long and the days are so sad I just keep thinkin' about the love that we had and missin' you and nobody knows me...

Tomorrow mornin' I'll hit the dusty road, Up to the cementary I will go, cause I'm missin' you and nobody knows but me... I always thought you'd be here with me, my heart is calling you and nobody knows but me...

This song gave me so much comfort after my Eric died, it said everything I was feeling at the time. Now when I see it I think of Eric, and know he must of felt some of these same things, and nobody knew but him...

Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
with no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
let it be spoken without effort, without the trace of a shadow on it.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.

Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same as it ever was; there is unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you, for an interval, some~where very near,
just around the corner.
All is well.

My Son

If I could see you one more time
I'd want to hold you in my arms
to hear your strong yet youthful voice
to see your smile light up your face
to talk to you just one more time
I'd tell you how special you are to me
I'd promise you just about anything
I'd apologize for being busy
for not realizing you were hurting
I'd stare at every feature on your sweet young face
I'd hold your hand in mine and never let go

In my dreams I try so hard to find you
and when I do
you always seem so happy and content
with such a peaceful glow that surrounds you
Is it selfish of me to want you back?
Have you found the peace you were looking for?
Do you miss us?

I spend my days with endless questions
I pray for the impossible knowing it will never happen
To go back in time to change the outcome
To sit with you and talk things through
To give you some insight
a possible light in your darkness
To make you see that you were needed
in so many ways
To be my son was just one of them
To be a brother meant so very much
and you were so close to being Uncle Josh
who else could tease me with names like Granny

Oh Josh if you only knew
how much you were loved
you never would have left us
The place you once filled in this
family is now empty
We have just sweet memories

My son I'd do anything to bring you back
but it's not in my power
so I must try and remember
the times we shared and smile
at the brave handsome young man
you turned out to be

When you were just a baby and caught that bad virus
I prayed and asked God to please let you live
a voice came to me and said
" You won't have Him long "
at first I was scared
as would be any new mother
as the years passed on by I thought
surely just the fears of a mother

Was this a message
telling me to treasure every moment
with you
If so I wish only one thing
and that is that you know
I love you so very much
and I'm so thankful for the fifteen years
I had with you, my son, our Josh.........

Love, Mom

Loved and Truely missed by his Mother,
Michael, Jennifer, Matthew,
and Amanda.

From the very first day
When you where born.
To the very first time you waved,
And honked your horn.
I had no chance at all
To watch you grow
Up so sadly Beautifull
Up so sadly Beautifull.

Baby needs a brand new pair of eyes.
Cause the ones you've got now,
See only goodbyes.
I had no chance at all
To let you know
Oh sadly beautifull
Oh sadly Beautifull.

Well you've got your fathers hair,
And you've got your fathers nose,
But you've got my soul,
Sadly, beautifull.

From the very last time you waved,
And honked your horn.
To a face that turned away,
Pale and worn.
I had no chance at all
To let you know,
You left me sadly,Beautifull
Oh sadly, Beautifull
So sadly, Beautifull.

This is a poem that Beth liked...

Find Happiness in everything you do...
Find happiness in nature in the beauty of a mountain,
in the serenity of the sea...
Find happiness in friendship,
in the fun of doing things together,
in the sharing and understanding....
Find happiness in your family,
in the stability of knowing that someone cares
in the strength of love and honesty...
Find happiness in yourself in your mind, and body
in your values and achievements...
Find Happiness in everything you do...
