March Letter From the President
Well where do I start? I was on vacation for the first general membership meeting so I am a little behind. Then I have to play catch up at work now I’m behind. What! It’s time for another meeting? Pat is calling for my next message! I’m more behind. But with the help of the other board members things really get done. Thanks Ron and Bill for keeping things rolling.. Bill saw to it the rules manual got to the printers and Ron followed up to make sure the proofing was done and the printing done. He is also playing Santa and checking our mailing lists to make sure all get their books. These guys are your scoring leaders. Give them a call if you signed up. I haven’t checked with Pat recently bu I think he is getting close on an MKC manual for our members. Know anyone who would like to sponsor the printing?
Roger has already received a pre-entry for our race dates thanks to Badger getting their manual out early. Those folks really have their act together. And like MKC they have a core group to hold things together. Call Roger for your registration assignments.
Dave has the web site looking real nice. How does he find time between all the schoolwork and working a job. Get on line and check out his updates. 1000 hits in 3 months is not bad. There is a printable membership form if you knw someone who wants to be a member and pre-registration form for the races in the works. He is your grid contact so all those who signed up give him a call so he can make up a schedual.
Got a couple calls from Ken Weeden. He’s really raring to get to work so give him a call. Scales and fuel tech are his assignments.
Jim Farr Jr. is our new pre-tech administrator, so make sure you give him a hand. From experience I know his job can be demanding so let’s give him our support.
Dave Williams, trophies, and Pat Willey, newsletter, will be the all around guys. I didn’t have to assign the a spot they seem to just always be there when help is needed. I haven’t seen Pat in a while but he sure sounds like he is recovering well on the phone.
We have a mistery board member this year. He is in charge of track pickup another demanding job. If you can guess who it is and let me know at the next meeting you will win a set of screwdrivers. No hints and no Board members. Only one person wins.
Thanks to everyone for helping the new president get started.
Just a few things to go over at the next meeting so see you there.
