Mary W. "Minn" Bohn

Mary W. "Minn" Bohn, nee Kress, of West Bend, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at her residence, at the age of 93.
She was born Sept. 24, 1907, in the town of Farmington, to the late Nicholas and Josephine (nee Esselman) Krell, and married Harvey J. Bohn on July 9, 1935, at Holy Angels Church, West Bend.
From 1961 until 1972 she was a cook in the office kitchen at The West Bend Co.
Harvey passed away on Jan. 27, 1975.
Survivors include three children, Joanne (Donald) Bohn of Mesa, Ariz. and Peter W. Bohn and Carl A. (Sandra) Bohn, both of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Jon (Sue) Bohn, Ann (Jess) Gatlin, Kay (Scott) Matenaer, Steven Rolf, Sarah Rolf, Marie (Scott) Butts and Paul (Pam) Bohn; seven great-granddaughters; a sister-in-law, Adeline Krell; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, a sister and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. at Holy Angel's Catholic Church.
Father Scott Wallenfelsz will be the presider, and burial will be on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.

Olive H. Bohn

Olive H. Bohn, nee Stoffel, 96, of Plymouth, formerly of West Bend, died on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Plymouth Care Center.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1909 on the family homestead in the town of Addison to the late Henry and Catherine (nee Tennies) Stoffel.
In the late 1920s, the family moved to West Bend.
Following her marriage to Sylvester N. Bohn on Jan. 17, 1933 at Holy Angels Church in West Bend, the couple moved to Hartford. In 1945, they settled in West Bend.
Sylvester passed away Aug. 22, 1970.
In 1998, Olive moved to New Mexico where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law.
In 2002, she returned to Wisconsin and lived in Plymouth up to the time of her death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary (Raymond) Heiting of Plymouth; two sons-in-law, James (Sandra) Laufer and Robert Wendelborn, both of West Bend; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Dickmann of Irvine, Calif.; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Noreen Laufer and Bonnie Wendelborn; an infant son; two grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Olson; two brothers, Herbert (Wally) Stoffel and Henry (Eleanor) Stoffel; three sisters, Eleanor Stoffel, Sr. Ann Marie, OSF and Cora (Robert) Heintz; and a brother-in-law Melvin Dick-mann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 2, at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Brittain presiding.
Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church only on Friday from 1 until 2:15 p.m.
The family has requested memorials to Aurora Hospice, Sheboygan County.
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.

Carl A. Bohn

Carl A. Bohn, 62, of West Bend, died on Monday, May 24, 2004 at his residence.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1941 in West Bend to the late Harvey and Mary (nee Krell) Bohn and married Sandra J. Otten on May 25, 1963 at Holy Angels Church.
Carl graduated from West Bend High School in 1959 and entered the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge, he worked at the Gehl Co. for 17 years.
In 1989 Carl underwent a heart transplant.
He was a member of the Fr. Casper Rehrl Council 1964 Knights of Columbus in West Bend.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sandra; two children, Marie (Scott) Butts and Paul (Pam) Bohn, both of West Bend; three grandchildren, Rachel and Sara Butts and Alyssa Bohn; a sister, Joanne (Donald) Bohn of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Peter of Gurnsey, Wyo.; three sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Les) Cichanski of Brookfield, Maureen (Larry Mayo) Otten of San Diego and Geraldine (Michael) Heppe of Brookfield; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was an infant son, Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, West Bend, with Rev. Jeffrey Haines presiding.
Visitation at the church only will be on Wednesday from 4 until 6:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Kathy Hospice Wings for Life’s Journey or the Dr. James E. Albrecht Free Clinic, are appreciated.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.
Carl’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the family of Scott A. Soliva for the generous gift of organ donation which allowed Carl an additional 15 joyous years of life, and also a special thank you to Dr. William Listwan for his kind and loving care.

Bonnie T. Wendelborn

Bonnie T. Wendelborn, nee Bohn, 56, of West Bend, died on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 at home surrounded by her family following a battle with cancer.
She was born on May 16, 1949 in West Bend to Sylvester and Olive (nee Stoffel) Bohn, and on May 20, 1970, she was united in marriage to Robert D. Wendel-born at Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend.
For the past 15 years, she worked as a customer service representative at Kmart.
Bonnie’s life centered around her family, and being a wife and mother gave her life a lot of joy. Later, the role of grandma became extremely important to her.
In addition to her family, she enjoyed reading and flower gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; three children, Lisa (Gregory) Garstka of Sun Prairie, Amy of Sun Prairie and Mark of West Bend; two grandchildren, Jason and Nicholas Garstka; her mother, Olive Bohn of Plymouth; a sister, Mary (Raymond) Heiting of Plymouth; her father-in-law, Eugene Wendelborn of West Bend; two brothers-in-law, James (Sandy) Laufer of West Bend and William (Colleen) Wendelborn of South Bend, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Wendelborn of West Bend; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, Sylvester Bohn; her sister, Noreen Laufer; and her mother-in-law, Shirley Wendelborn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend, with Jeffrey Haines presiding.
Visitation will be at the church only on Wednesday from 4 until 6:45 p.m.
The family has requested memorials to the Kathy Hospice.
