I first began joining mailing lists several months ago, not knowing what to expect. As I began reading all the mail i noticed the normal things of dates of appearances, personal stories of meeting the guys, and, of course, the infamous 'oh, he's the hottest...no he's the hottest.'
But it wasn't these things that caught my attention. What did was these stories that I saw a few people writing. I sarcastically thought 'Yeah, that's cool. Let's write stories about these people we're never going to even meet. Someone's slightly obsessed.'
Like I said, that was several months ago, and now..... now I can't stop writing. I sat down one day, bored out of my mind, and thought 'What the hell? Why not?' Seven months later, I've come to the conclusion that I'm addicted. I have over 20 stories written, only around half which are complete.
I was amazed at how talented these writers were once I began to read the works of fanfic they had been writing. All of these writers have a way of taking a single moment....all the feelings and actions and emotions.... and putting into words in way that overtakes your mind and makes you get so wrapped up in the stories that you feel like you are there with the characters, that you feel as if you are living that moment. They can make you laugh, cry, smile, and forget about all your problems, even if only for a little while.
What's my point, you ask? Don't you think these writers deserve some recognition? A little badge of merit that says 'Good Job' or 'Wow, that really affected me.' Well I do, that is why I created the
