Zoogerator: 'Cause all month long, we'll be having chats with the stars of this creepy new Disney Channel original series.

Zoogerator: Today, we're chatting with Erik von Detten, who plays Clu!

Zoogerator: And he's sitting next to me now!

Zoogerator: So why not start sending in your questions for him?

Zoogerator: Hey Erik! Thanks for joining us!

Erik_von_Detten: Hey, everybody, glad to be here!

ktsasl: Hi! Love the show! I was wondering: Do you know how/where they came up with the name Clue? It's very unique!!! Thanks!!-Luv ya!

Erik_von_Detten: The name "Clu" was created by the writer, Tom Astle. And believe it or not it's not an abbreviation, his whole name is Clu Bell.

skyez0: Hi again! DO you believe in all that paranormal stuff on the show SO WEIRD? I do.

Erik_von_Detten: I definitely believe in some of it. But not all, because there were some pretty far-fetched premises for some of the episodes. Take for example...I do believe that there is a Bigfoot out there somewhere...

zooger21: So how does it feel to be reunited with Patrick Levis and be working with the new Cara DeLizia?

Erik_von_Detten: Patrick is awesome to work with. And an awesome guy to hang out with off the set too. Me, Cara, and Pat all had great chemistry while shooting the show.

skyez0: HI! I love you so much. I have seen BRINK! 30 times already! Two Questions, Will you marry me? DO you have a gril?

Erik_von_Detten: I don't think I'm ready for that kind of commitment yet... but if you have a really nice GRILL (which I don't to answer your question)... but who knows?

zindsayzimmzimm: so weird is a great show i've been taping every episode as soon as it comes on, i sit in front of the tv and nobody touches it until the show is over. how busy is your schedule- zindsay's bro

Erik_von_Detten: Basically we shot 12 episodes while in Vancouver and when I was up there working, there really was no spare time. We worked five days a week. Quite often there were 6 A.M. call times every day.

jeanette87: Hi Erik, besides acting do you ever thing of a singing career as well.

Erik_von_Detten: Whenever I attempt to sing the only response I get is "Stick with your day job!" So I guess that answers your question.

skyez0: I love the show so weird! What was it like making the one about the Eastland boat capziing? I love you!

Erik_von_Detten: That was actually the first episode we shot... and it was quite challenging... because I didn't know my character that well in the beginning.

wezley1: What is your favorite episode?

Erik_von_Detten: My favorite episode is definitely one called, "Angel" which will be airing soon. It's just a really touching, emotional episode.

allstarzbrittany: are you like your character Clu in real life

Erik_von_Detten: Me and Clu have many similarities. For example, we each travel all the time. But, then again, we're quite opposite in some ways.

ktsasl: Will they ever reveal how Fi and Jack's dad died? My family is curious.

Erik_von_Detten: You'll have to just keep on watching. You never know!

mountaindewdrop: Do you have your driver's license yet? :)

Erik_von_Detten: Boy, do I ever! laughs.

hyperjae: Do you like working on a t.v. show better than t.v. movies?

Erik_von_Detten: I enjoy both very, very much. When I was age 9, I worked on a soap opera for two years and I've done many TV movies, so I've had a taste of both.

eriksgyrl: Are you into snowboarding?! I love snowboarding, it's awesome!

Erik_von_Detten: Way to go! I started snowboarding last year. Before that I used to ski. But let me just say snowboarding ROCKS!

hyperjae: Do you have time to go hang out at malls and stuff without people always coming up to you?

Erik_von_Detten: I don't really hang at malls. But I bet even if I did, I wouldn't get hassled.

ktsasl: I found out that you starred in an episode of E.R. What happened to your character?

Erik_von_Detten: Thanks. :) Well, for those of you who watched the episode... my character Ben is probably off enjoying life and keeping warm.

zabrina: How did you learn all does skate stunts for the movie "Brink"?

Erik_von_Detten: Basically I did about two weeks of skate training before the movie.

allstarzbrittany: is So Weird filmed only in Vancouver or is it filmed other places

Erik_von_Detten: Only in Vancouver, because Vancouver is a city that suits the show. But if I get homesick, I can pull a "Duchovny". laughs.

diana132: I have a brother who thinks you are the coolest person in the world. I just want you to know that you are his idol.

Erik_von_Detten: I'm honored!

luvzerikv: Do you ever get home sick?

Erik_von_Detten: I did get homesick, but I visited home quite frequently. And I made a lot of friends in Vancouver.

green_day_luver: hi Erik i think you are gorgeous and a very talented actor (one of the best). me and my friends were wondering how were you "discovered"???

Erik_von_Detten: Basically, after I got off my soap opera. It was that that helped me book many projects, after the soap.

luvzerikv: Do you and the other cast members ever pull pranks on each other? If so, what was the funniest one?

Erik_von_Detten: Many, many pranks involved. My own specialty: taking a sand bag, attaching a string of elastic, on the other end of the elastic, attaching a metal clip, clipping the back of someone and watch them get yanked back as they try to walk away.

vermontprincess: Erik hi my name is Sarah and I am 17 and wondering I am starting to record and I need some advice about what it is like to have so many fans

Erik_von_Detten: Well, Sarah, be prepared for anything. There's nothing like having a bunch of people out there rooting for you.

rlhzoog: how did you end up being on Disney?

Erik_von_Detten: My very first Disney project was, "Toy Story", where I played the evil toy torturer, Sid Phillips.

emz110: what is your fav food PIZZA ROCKS!

Erik_von_Detten: I don't know, but these M & M cookies I'm chowing down right now are sure hitting the spot!

Erik_von_Detten: Depends on the time of year. Summer: it's surfing or sailing. Winter: it's snowboarding.

Erik_von_Detten: I emailed that dude once! What a dork!

brinkgirl9: Hey Erik! In Brink, did you enjoy getting to throw that milk shake in Val's face? Ha Ha

Erik_von_Detten: I felt bad, actually. Poor Sam was sticky for the rest of the shoot after that day.

skyez0: Do you watch yourself? On TV I mean not in a mirror! All though if I met you I wouldn't keep my eyes off of you!

Erik_von_Detten: I watch most of my work on TV. It's pretty weird.

Zoogerator: You mean "So Weird."

Zoogerator: laughs at his own joke.

Erik_von_Detten: does not laugh.

luvzerikv: Have you ever had any weird experiences happen to you?

Erik_von_Detten: No, no ghost encounters or alien abductions here.

zeetherchatterbox: Hey Erik, how did they do that scene where it looked like all of you were on a boat in the hotel attic?

Erik_von_Detten: That set was actually rotating almost to a 90 degree angle. It was freaky!

rockerbaby1: On So Weird, who designs your wardrobe? You wear the greatest clothes!

Erik_von_Detten: I totally agree, and I have done everything in my power to get my hands on some of those clothes. The whole wardrobe department of the show RULES! One time we were shooting at like 7am in 30 degree weather dressed for 70 degree weather and they were always there for us with blankets and jackets.

abbieziggy13: Hey Erik...Your last name is pretty cool. What's your heritage?

Erik_von_Detten: German heritage. My pop was born in Munich, Germany.

ktsasl: Erik--- The guitar you had in the episode "Family reunion", does it belong to you?

Erik_von_Detten: No, that guitar doesn't belong to me but maybe you want to put in a word with the prop master!

erikfan13: Hi Erik, the last interview I saw you in you said you totally digged the Blues Travelers, what music do you dig now?

Erik_von_Detten: Now I'm into reggae. (Rock on, Marley!) Alternative, rap, rock, ska, jazz and the list goes on. It all depends on what mood I'm in.

katieluvbug: who has been a roll madel in your career for you?

Erik_von_Detten: I would definitely have to go with my coach, John Homa.

puresoul83: Today is my sweet 16th birthday :) ...I love you in the show So Weird...what's it like on the set?

Erik_von_Detten: Happy Birthday!!!!! It's the funniest set ever! Tons of joking, yet everyone focuses once the camera is rolling.

compnut: Wouldn't that be cool if we really got visits from aliens?

Erik_von_Detten: Well, judging from movies like "Mars Attacks" or "Independence Day" I'd have to say, it would NOT be cool.

luvzerikv: Have you had any embarresing moments on the set or involving the cast? if so, what was it?

Erik_von_Detten: Well, quite a few times it was so early in the morning I'd would go into my trailer to change into my wardrobe and I'd often be half-asleep, so, after putting on my long underwear I would forget my pants. That wasn't funny.

ktsasl: Last time you were chatting in the Zeether, my computer kept freezing up, so this is a real treat having you again!! Are there any movies you're currently working on or are going to be doing in the future? Thanks! :)

Erik_von_Detten: Thanks for coming back again. I hate it when computers stall! To answer your question, there are a couple things in development, and in the meantime I'll continue with the show!

zeetherchatterbox: What is Cara DeLizia (fi) like?

Erik_von_Detten: Cara is a great kid to work with. She dealt with some pretty tough hours being the star of the show. But she always kept her cool, and we really had fun working together.

iteri: do you ever meet your fans?

Erik_von_Detten: If I ever encounter any, it's great to be able to talk to them. But not as much as I'd like to.

eriksgyrl: I'm interested in acting, but I have no idea where to start!! Can you give me some tips on how to get started?!

Erik_von_Detten: Basically, find a good coach who knows what they're talking about, learn the ropes, and don't give up. I put up with a year of only auditioning -- getting nowhere -- when I first started when I was 8 years old.

torrint: ZOOG DISNEY RULES!!!! Erik, what would your dream role be and why?

Erik_von_Detten: I would love to play a character who's going through a lot, something along the lines of the roles DiCaprio has had. And why?? I'd be up for the challenge.

zendy1621: Erik, First of all I have to say that I totally love you soooooo much. Well , Anyways question is How old are you? And when is your b-day?

Erik_von_Detten: I am 16 years as of October 3rd. Go Libras!

luvzerikv: If you got abducted by aliens and could only keep one memory, what would it be and why?

Erik_von_Detten: That's a very good question! I would keep the memory of this one summer of my childhood that I spent with my family and friends. For some reason it was a very special summer.

zendy1621: My friend Kristen Tarchini and I both watch so weird every Monday just to see you. How do you feel about that?????

Erik_von_Detten: I'm flattered, Zendy1621! Keep on watching!

Erik_von_Detten: Not at all! I love reading fan mail.

diana132: Do you wear contacts? If so, are they colored?

Erik_von_Detten: No, I don't wear contacts, but if I needed prescription lenses, I would probably shoot for contacts.

zulia3: what is your favorite thing in school

Erik_von_Detten: Lately I've been learning all about biology and there's some pretty intriguing stuff in there! Let me tell you!

zooger21: What do you and the rest of the cast do between breaks on the set of So Weird?

Erik_von_Detten: This is gonna sound funny, but if I was ever given a break I would take a nap.

Erik_von_Detten: Si, senorita! Would you guys mind if I did the rest of my interview in Spanish?

Erik_von_Detten: In a girl I look for: a girl who is true to herself, can be herself when with me, is fun to be around, and can get ready for a date in no more than 15 minutes!
