EvDBaBy: Erik, what is the correct address for us to write to you? There are many different addresses!

Erik von Detten: I don't have the exact address. Letters are most easily sent by sending through ABC, and they should be addressed to ODD MAN OUT.

skatergirl129: i want to know how it feels to work wit a cast of all women.

Erik von Detten: hmm...no complaints here! Erik von Detten: We all have a lot of fun!

shue1: Erik did you do any voices in Toy Story II.

Erik von Detten: No, I didn't sorry to say! But I heard that I might have a cameo in it! They might use some of Sid's sreaming, which they used in the first movie. Because I heard he will be flying by in a plane or something like that. But even if I was offered to come back as the character of Sid in the sequel, I don't think I could pull it off because my voice has matured 3 years! (smile).

oddgirlout: is it weird watching yourself on tv?

Erik von Detten: It can be weird at times. But most of the time I don't think twice. When I watch my work, I can be very judgemental , but I enjoy seeing the results of my work, and I don't find it weird most of the time!

Fernanda_Ferraro: Do u have girlfriend???

Erik von Detten: At the moment, I am a single man!

Eriksnumber1fan: What do you look for in a girl???????

Erik von Detten: Let's see.... I look for someone who I can relate to on different levels and someone who is confident, but not overly confident. Funny at times, true to herself, and above all likes me for who I really am and not because of what I do! and also someone who can be ready for a date within 10 minutes! (smile).

Emerald101784: Do you find it hard to date because of you working all the time?

Erik von Detten: Yeah, work can conflict, but nights and weekends are always free for me. Essentially my job doesn't really interfere with my dating.

waterbug86: I heard you have cut your hair???? Is it true?????? I saw a picture and you still look really cute!!!!

Erik von Detten: Yes it's true I cut my hair! and I am really glad to hear you say that, I am extremely happy with it !

nikki85: hey Erik I just wanted to know how you liked working on the Disney movie Brink cause all that skating was awesome.

Erik von Detten: Thanks a lot! Working on the movie Brink was a lot of fun, because it was basically all kids my age, and we were all goofing around both on and off the set. We all got along really well. Doing a lot of the skating was fun also!

Slayer_LC: Will you still work on So Weird now that you have your own show ?

Erik von Detten: Hmm....I don't think that in the future I will be going back to "So Weird" as a regular character, but I would definitely love to go up to Canada and shoot one episode where my character Clu comes back and visits for a week.

Cess55: Erik will you be in any upcoming movies?

Erik von Detten: No Cess, no movies coming up for me : (. But I have been reading some scripts and taking some meetings, which could lead to possibly shooting a movie in hiatus!

THS_gurl: do you like doing movies or tv better?

Erik von Detten: Honestly I love them both! I've done a lot of film work, and a lot of tv work, and they both have their plusses!

ShImMeR_007: Erik are u planning on going to college????

Erik von Detten: I definitely am! I feel that college is a necessity no matter what I end up doing in the long run! I would definitely love to major in film at one of the schools near me, perhaps UCLA; "Go BRUINS!!!!! ".

EvDBaBy: How do you stay in such awesome shape while so busy?

Erik von Detten: You think that I am in awesome shape?! (blushes). I try to get in 350 crunches every night, and visits to the gym whenever my schedule permits. Eating right also helps!

AshVonDetten: Erik, how do you like being the hearttrob of millions of girls?

Erik von Detten: The heartthrob of millions of girls...hmm... well....(thinking). It's actually a funny thing, cuz when I think of a heartthrob for girls I always think of someone like River Phoenix or James Dean, so if you are suggesting that I am nearing that level, then I would have to say that it is a definite honor!

Waterbug86: What was your favorite acting job! 1!!!!

Erik von Detten: I have enjoyed all of my work, but most of all I would have to say it was a great experience working on "ER" with George Clooney, in the Emmy Award winning episode.

purplechick1 1: Do you miss daytime T.V. at all?

Erik von Detten: Not at all! Actually doing "Days of Our Lives" was a lot of hard work, but at the same time a true learning experience and a lot of fun! But I feel I am moving on to bigger and better things, no offense to daytime ; )

WonderlandWitch: are u actually the same age you play on odd man out?

Erik von Detten: No, not at all! I am 17 in real life versus 15 on the show. Why do I pull of 15 well? ; ).

EvDBaBy: Is Trevor's character at all like him in real life?

Erik von Detten: Very much so! I would have to say that taking aside Keith's obsession for Page of course, their mannerisms and vocabulary are basically identical. or at least nearly identical.

caityb: Erik, do you consider yourself a role model, and do you have a role model or anyone that you look up to?

Erik von Detten: I don't necessarily consider myself a role model. As for my own personal role models, there are a lot of actors in this business who I look up to like Al Pacino, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, and Leo DiCaprio, the list goes on and on.

evd_always: What do your friends think of you being so famous?

Erik von Detten: I don't think that they think twice about it. We joke around about it quite often. At the end of the day it doesn't affect my friendships at all.

Littleone_80: Erik Do you like acting?

Erik von Detten: Of course I do, or else I wouldn't be doing it! : ) I loved it ever since I started on "Days of Our Lives" when I was only 9, and my passion for it has only grown since then!

lau437: Hey Erik!! Do you and Trevor have a lot of fun on the set of Odd Man out?

Erik von Detten: Yes we do! We pull a lot of pranks on others AND on each other. We enjoy pitching mutual comedy bits in whatever episode we are working on. Off set we also have a lot of fun!

Rockerbaby20: Do you have any pets? If so what are their names and what breeds are they?

Erik von Detten: I have a dog who's name is Barclay, who is the coolest dog in the world. He's nearing 11 years old, and he is a shitzu.

ERiKvonDeTTeN: Hey Erik! Can you usually just walk around the mall and/or in public without getting recognized or do you need a disguise?

Erik von Detten: I don't know, maybe you should ask yourself Mr. Von Detten! : ).

EVDevdEVD: Do you play the Guitar, or any other instrument other than that?

Erik von Detten: I do play the guitar as does my character on the show. I also fiddle around on the piano once in a while. Trevor is in the process of teaching me some rhythm on the drums, and in return I am teaching him how to play the guitar!

sissyhoho: hey erik, nic here, you always play the hip skater kinda guy in all your shows/movies, is that because you're like that or a coinsidence? [hi lau].

Erik von Detten: I would have to say that's purely coincidence. (Even though I don't believe in the word coincidence) ; ). Also, before my recent work, a lot of the characters I did played, weren't in that category. Take Wally Cleaver for example. good question though Nic!

heartatha: how do you decide what to do to "bring your character to life? ".

Erik von Detten: I am still mulling over what "[hi lau]" could mean.....secret message? Wow, that's looking at it in depth! To be honest with you, I would have to say that my character is STILL evolving from when it was established in the very first episode.

AshVonDetten: Erik, I know you love to surf, so have you ever been to Virginia Beach, Virginia? We have lots of surfing championships at our beach.

Erik von Detten: Virginia Beach...I have not been there yet, but I did work in Richmond, VA for 2 months on a project called "Christmas Everyday". If my geographical knowledge is correct, I believe that's not too far from the beach!

Cess55: I noticed that your name was Andy on "Brink" and Andrew on "Odd Man Out" is there a significance?

Erik von Detten: oooh! I see! I feel stupid ! No, no meaning behind that at all, just a "coincidence" : P.

evd_always: I've noticed that you work with the same people alot, why is that?

Erik von Detten: Do I?! I guess I have once or twice. From my observations actors who have good chemistry with one another tend to work with each other more than once. Again just "coincidence". !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
