"Ugh", I grunted as my alarm clock woke me up early Saturday morning. My best friend Mark's party was tonight, and he had talked me into going with his cousin, who was in town for a couple of weeks. How he talked me into going with his cousin, I'll never know. I remember the conversation exactly.
Mark- C'mon Christine, its been a month since u broke up with Alex, you have to go out sometime.
Me- Fine, I'll start going out on dates again, I just don't want that whole thing to happen to me again.
Mark- You just have to find the right guy, I know the perfect guy for you!
Me- No, whatever you're thinking, stop it right now!
Mark- My cousin would be perfect for you
Me- I dunno'.
Mark- Just promise you'll be his date at my party Saturday night, I promise you'll have fun! Please?
Me- fine!
I need to relieve some much built up stress, so I did what I always did, I went surfing. Once I got out there on the waves, I felt so much better. And I didn't even care that I had a date with Mark's cousin. That night, I took a long shower, and dressed in a new silver tunic that I had just gotten the day before, I put my long brown hair into a bun. When I got to the party I noticed a tall, blonde guy sitting all alone by the stereo "Wow" I thought, "he's pretty cute." I found mark and asked him where his cousin was. Mark pointed to the guy sitting by the speakers. "ERIK!" Mark yelled out. The guy looked up at us. "Get over here!" Erik walked over to us and smiled at me. "Erik, this is Christine, Christine the is Erik" and with that small introduction Mark walked away.
Erik- Hi.
Me- Hey, this is gonna sound weird. But you look really familiar
Erik-Yeah, I'm an actor.
Me- Oh, really
