What happened to the fairy tales?
What happened to happily ever after?
Where went the grand climatic endings?
Where what's wrong and evil looses,
And what's good and just, always seems to triumph?
What happened to a clear-cut good and evil
That could easily be seen?
Unlike this world in shades of gray
So close we're blind to see?
What happened to the happy, simple lives,
Or kind, benevolent kings and queens?
Where went the hansom prince?
The dashing hero, or knight in shining armor?
The fair damsel in distress?
How every little girl, could be a beautiful princess?
