GHOSTBUSTERS I

In June of 1984 Ghostbusters surprised everyone, breaking box-office sales that until then had been dominated by science-fiction spectaculars such as E.T. and Star Wars.

The premise for the movie was simple. Three doctors of parapsychology, Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, and Ray Stantz, have their research grant taken away and are evicted from their offices at Columbia University. However, they have gathered enough information about the things that go bump in the night to go into business busting ghosts. And it doesn't take long till they're busy.

The East coast is in spectral turmoil, and the source is an ancient Sumerian deity, Gozer, the Gozerian. Gozer the Destructor is returning to earth and bringing the dead back with it. With their proton packs and a helping hand from the fourth Ghostbuster, everyman Winston Zeddemore, the boys in grey clean up the town.

When they arrive, they find Dana's aparment destroyed. They then enter the building and head to the top of the apartment building. When they reach the top, they see, in horror, the transformaions of Dana and Louis (who are possessed by the Gatekeeper and the Keymaster) into TERROR DOGS! They find the being knwon as Gozar, in the form of a woman (it can be anything it wants to be). They battle the demon and defeat her. But it is far from over. The TRAVELLER has come and makes the Ghostbusters choose a destructor. Of course, Ray (not thinking) picks his childhood icon, The Stay-Puft Marshmallow. It comes right toward the Ghostbusters. Now, the only way to save NYC is to cross the beams into Gozar's supernatural gate. They do and the building's top blows! With Stay-Puft raining down on the crowd. It looks as if everything was back to normal, but what about Dana and Louis? Their TERROR DOGS form were turned into stone. But Dana and Louis were alive in the stone statues! The Ghostbusters bust them out and everyone celebrated the Ghostbusters' victory.
