Darien looked up to see Serena and Martha standing in front of his desk, absentmindly thinking 'nice legs' while looking at Serena's navy blue suit with the skirt about 4 inches above her knees, Serena noticing him eyeing her skirt, blushed thinking 'maybe I shouldn't of listened to Minako about this.... suit..."
"AHEM," Serena managed out, as he took his eyes away from her body and towards her face... He looked at her, gawking at the beauty that stood before him as he couldn't help but place the fact that he seen her somewhere...
"I'm Serena Moone," she had said, giving him her hand for a handshake. "I'm going to be your new secutary." 'Moone... Moone...' the name played in his mind as he smiled at her.
"I'm glad to meet you Serena, this is all standered secretarial work, and since Martha has hired you, I am sure that you have all the qualities... Martha will take you to your new desk. Feel free to bring anything to personalize your work space."
She nodded, smiling at him. "Thank you Mr. Shields." She said, as she walked out with Martha... Darien's eyes stared at the retreating figure as he mumbled, "Moone... Moone..." he sighed, sorting the papers on his desk as he caught onto yesterday's newspaper that he had forgotten to throw out.
"Will Miss Moone be the one to get Williams to settle down?" his eyes gawked at the line and widened in realization, Serena was the famous girlfriend of his rival company, he for one never liked Brian that much, he always seemed to equal up to him in every single way, stareing out from his door at the girl that talked to his former secutary 'A game of seduction it would be... he will get the best of William's now' he thought smiling.
Looking around the office where she would start working, Serenas pager beeped "Brian?" she whispered to herself, and called quickly getting his new secretary "Um.... I need to talk to Brian, I mean Mr. Williams please"
"All right, Miss just wait a moment, while I connect you"Serena thought 'The way she talks makes me think of a rich, spoiled, nasal, brat' Right as Brian picked up the phone, Darien came out of his office "Can you hold on a second" Serena said to Brian then placed the phone on her shoulder
"Can I help you Mr. Shields?"
"I was wondering if you would like to go out to lunch with me to work out the details of your job"
"Sounds great" Serena replied
"Okay, I'll go grab my jacket and you can finish your call" Darien said then gave one of his smiles that every girl fell for, which Serena barely even nodded at then went back to her call
"Sorry about that Brian, I was talking to my boss, so why did you page me?"
Dariens head snapped at the sound of Brian's name, and hurried into his office and picked up the phone, wanting to hear what they were talking about
"Hey love, do you I need a reason to call the girl I'm going to marry?"
hearing what Brian had said he slammed down the phone and grabbed his coat 'This is going to be harder than I thought'
Serena heard the joking tone most people didn't notice and started laughing when Darien came out "Brian I have to go, call me later when I'm home"
When Darien and Serena had gotten to the small cafe they went to the bar to get drinks first.
"What would you like Serena? I know it's not the Ritz, but its a good place when your hungry" Darien asked politely with one of his to die for smiles.
"Um...just a normal Sprite I guess" She smiled as well than added "I know a person who wouldn't be caught dead in here or at least he wouldn't pass as the kind of guy who would"
"Your boyfriend."
Serena laughed, "That obvious?"
Darien tried not to frown, "From the look in your eyes when you talk about him...yeah, it is."
Serena's look of happiness and enjoyment went to utter horror, she couldn't believe that Brian Williams, her 'boyfriend' had just walked in the door with a girl! she didn't mind that part, but the fact that they were in public and holding hands 'If Darien saw that article, what am I thinking 'if' he had I'd have already been out on the streets'
"Umm...do you want to go sit down now? maybe by the window?"
He was totally shocked "Sure?"
He looked around and saw what he was sure she didn't want him to see Williams was coming down to sit at the bar his jaw tightened 'Did Serena put tell Brian about lunch when she was on the phone with him?' he soon realized how dumb that was. 'she couldn't have she didn't know where we were going. Plus he has a woman next to him...'
"Serena? Why don't we just wait untill the drinks get here they seem to be taking longer than usual."
Serena tried to smile her best, but it was still weak "Sure"
She heard a gasp behind her, "Serena? What are you doing here?" Brian asked
She turned around slowly, giving him a look then said "What am I doing here? I'm having lunc." She was still calm, but that would only last so long
He smiled her a smile to let her know everything was alright, "I'd like to introduce you to the sister I was telling you about this is Ashley Williams" he had used the teasing tones (that only she noticed) on sister and Williams so this was the girl he wanted
Serena smiled, and it actually reaching her eyes, "It's so great to meet you! Brian's told me all about you" she quickly hugged her and turned over to Darien who no one had yet noticed
"Brian, Ashley, I'd like you to meet my boss, Darien Shields"
Both Dariens and Brians eyes narrowed and the joking look in his eyes vanished he hardly looked like the same person.
"We've met" they both said at the same time in cold tones.
Serena tried to smile but she felt rather uncomfortable
"Serena, I need to talk to you alone" Brian said emphisizing the word alone in a rather cold tone, not even looking at her, but managing to grab her arm anyway.
"I noticed"
they walked away and Darien looked over at Ashley
"You aren't really his sister are you?"
