Back in the throne room, the Queens and Kings sat on the floor with their younger selves, and their friends and family from the past. The Kings, all except for Endymion, hid their faces, for it would not do for their younger selves to know who they would be marrying, unless their Queen wanted them too.
"There was a disruption in time." Sailor Pluto said, getting right to the point. "It is unfixable, nothing can be done about it."
"Why, then, are we here?" Princess Mina asked.
"So that you may live."
"What are you talking about?" Princess Rei asked.
"The end came too soon." Neo Queen Serenity said.
Everyone looked at Neo Queen Serenity, but it was Princess Serenity who explained.
"The Earth froze too soon. We were not excepting it, so we, the scouts, died along with everyone else, instead of being preserved so that we could awaken later. So, Sailor Pluto brought us here, so that we would survive."
"That is correct." Sailor Pluto said, looking slightly shocked.
"But what good are we being here now?" Princess Lita asked.
"If you would have stayed in the past instead of going with Reni, you would have been dead within weeks." Sailor Pluto said. "As soon as you are all ready, I am going to send you back, so that you can unfreeze the Earth."
"Okay, so the Sailor Scouts will save everyone, but what are we doing here?" Ken asked.
Neo Queen Serenity looked to her husband, who nodded.
"You all need to survive too. My parents, Mina's parents, Rei's Grandpa, and Ami's Mom were instrumental in the development of Crystal Tokyo, so they needed to live. Chad, Andrew, Greg, and you, Ken, need to survive, because Rei, Mina, Ami and Lita need King's to rule by their sides."
Then, Chad, Andrew, Greg and Ken found themselves looking into the faces of their future selves.
"I knew it! I knew Rei was in love with me!" Chad gloated. Rei elbowed him, but she was blushing terribly.
"But what about Rita, I love Rita." Andrew said.
The older Andrew let him down careful. "Rita dumped me, or you, shall I say, while she was at that dig. She fell in love with her teacher."
Andrew the younger looked over at Mina and smiled. "Well, you know something, I think I could get used to the idea of being with Mina." Mina blushed, but looked happy.
Everyone talked to each other. The younger scouts were discussing a plan for unfreezing the Earth, while their friends and family talked to their older selves. Sailor Pluto sat back and watched. She knew that the world would survive. Time was secure once again.
