It was just like an ordinary day. The birds were singing. The sun was glowing with warmth, and the wind blew some refreshing breezes my way.

"Aaah! Nothing like a new day!" I said cheerfully.

I was walking around the old familiar park with a styrofoam cup of hot chocolate in one hand and my school books in the other. I sipped it carefully, knowing that I might have another one of those klutz attacks: I'd spill it. I whistled happilly to the tune of the birds chirping above me not having a care in the world.

After my fourth sip of hot chocolate, I glanced at my wristwatch to see what time it was. Ten minutes past 8:00!! I was late for class, again. I decided to run for it. I turned from a corner and bumped into somebody. I fell and tripped on my shoelaces.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I blurted out. I had landed directly on top of this little person: a blond headed girl.

"Wow!" I said as I admired her lovely features.

She was a sophisticated looking young lady with the brightest blue eyes I'd ever seen.

I felt something warm between us.

~Serena~

"Hey get off!" I said angrily. I looked at my newly pressed uniform. "I'm soaked all over with your...your..." I stopped and sniffed the substance.

But before I could reply he answered for me.

"Hot chocolate." he answered politely.

"Whatever." I replied cooly.

~Darien~

"I am such a klutz!" I told her apologetically. "Hey, I'm sorry about that, but I have to run to class, now. I'm really late. See ya!" With that, I jogged away. I knew I had to get my act in gear or I'll have detention, again.

~Serena~

'What a weirdo! Imagine the nerve of that guy! Now, I am soaking mess for school!' I looked around to see if anyone was watching. Then I took out my Luna pen and transformed into a 'cleaner student.'

'Much better!' I thought. 'Now off to school.'

I got there early as usual. I entered my math class. The teacher opened up her folder that contained the results for last week's exam.

"Listen up, gang!" she said in her stern teacher voice. "The names of the people that I shall call out are the ones that passed last week's exam:

Randolph, Michelle, Stan, Arnold, James...blah...blah...blah...blah....blah..."

I wasn't at all worried, yet. I knew my name would be called out eventually.

"And last but certainly not the least..." the teacher began.

"Ms. Tsukino. I must say, Serena. You got the highest mark in the class. Good job."

I grinned with pleasure. Yes. I loved school. I loved everything about it. I guess because I'm so good at it. I'm also pretty good at sports, too. So I'm pretty popular around my school. Boys? I've had a little luck with them...actually, I'm not that concerned about them. I can hardly keep interested for two minutes. Friends? My best friend is Andrea. She works at the Arcade down the street. She goes to my school, too. She usually works there after school. Which reminds me that I have to give her back her physics book she lent me. Hmm...no sign of her so far. Oh, well, I guess I'll meet her at the Arcade.

Gee whiz! I wish the stupid time would hurry! I can hardly wait for school to be over. It's driving me crazy-all these tests and papers and...and...books!-yuk!!

10:30 a.m.

Okay, Dare, gotta concentrate on the English test! Come on! Now let's see...hmmm...circle the best pronoun to fit this sentence:

1) Sally gave (his, her) apple to Dan.

Hmmm....that one's tricky! Let's skip to number two.

Put a comma after the coordinating conjunction:

2) Today is Tuesday and he will climb the tower.

Ooooh! That one's tough, too!

Number three:

Underline the word that fits the sentence:

3) Jack passed the ball over to (they, them).

Hum..hum...hum...Now how does that blues clues song go, again,...oh yeah:

'And we sit on our thinking chair and think...think...Thiiiink! Cause if we blah, blah, blah, we can do anything that we wanna do! Yeah!!'

The teacher looked at the clock and announced: "Alright! Time's up!"

Yikes! Okay, okay! Circle here. Comma there. And underline that!

There. I'm done with eons to spare.

Obviously, very short, but I'm working on the next part. It might take awhile because it's finals this week!

See ya!

Psalm 37:4,5

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
