A young girl with brown hair stared out the window of her bus. She began to contemplate on what she was about to do: leave her home world, her love, her life. She knew she'd considered every aspect of the decision, but her uncertainty was still alive. The wind from the open windows rustled her soft brown hair around her face, tickling her nose. Exasperated, she brushed her hair out of her eyes, and thought again of her love, her prince. He was so kind, with his blue eyes forever sparkling only for her.... His love would always be with her, and he would soon join her on her journey. But until that time, she had to make it alone. Her brown eyes glistened with tears. She didn't want to leave her home, her dreams, her kingdom...
She looked down at her purple heart pendant, which was glistening in the sunshine.... She knew what she was here to do, and she knew she must do it. She must find the Sailor Scout of the Sun and bring her to Tokyo to save the Princess of the Moon.
Krista entered the Boyertown School with apprehension. The people of this area seemed so odd, so suspicious, so hateful... She could hardly imagine feeling welcome here. In all her 17 years, she had never seen so many wild, hateful looking people in one place. She grasped her amethyst pendant and whispered, "I shall not be afraid. I will do what I came here to do."
A girl with a friendly smile passed her in the hallway and said "Hi!" Krista nodded shyly. In the same moment, she got a rush of familiarity. 'This girl seems so familiar to me....It's like I've known her for a long time...' Krista thought.
Angie prattled on, "I'm in the music department. Are you in chorus?"
Krista nodded. "Yes, I love to sing." She replied.
"Great!!" Angie exclaimed. "We'll have a great time, you'll see!!"
Krista nodded. "I'm sure we will." she replied.
Meanwhile, she thought "If only I knew WHY she was so familiar!!!!"
Krista toyed with her amethyst necklace as Angie took her on a tour of the school. She remembered the voice that told her about finding Sailor Sunshine: "You must go to Boyertown, my queen, and find your sister, the Princess of the Sun. Only with her help can you regain earth's peace."
Krista tossed her hair impatiently, wishing that Angie would tell her about the wars on earth, rather than the details of the music department. But Angie prattled on, oblivious to Krista's impatience.
Angie then noticed Krista's beautiful amethyst and diamond ring. "Oh, how pretty!! Where'd you get it??"
"Oh," Krista replied, "It's my engagement ring."
"ENGAGED???" Angie shrieked.
Krista suddenly remembered that on that most people weren't engaged until they were 18 on earth. She sighed in disgust. "Yes, I'm engaged." She replied.
" I was almost engaged, but something got in the way..." Angie said softly.
"Oh." Krista responded. She then noticed Angie's earrings. "Hey, where'd you get those earrings??" She demanded.
"I've always had them..." Angie replied.
"They're my sister's!!!!" Krista exclaimed.
"What do you mean??" Angie wanted to know.
Krista thought fast. She had to bring back Angie's memories, if she truly was her sister. She held up her amethyst necklace and whispered, "Vegan Love Star, heal my sister!!!!"
Light shone over Angie, and her earrings began to sparkle brightly. She blinked twice, and whispered, "I remember everything now!! You are my sister, the Queen of Vega, and I am Princess Sunshine, the next in line to rule the Sun..." Krista smiled, and hugged her. "Welcome back, sister..."
Krista went home with Angie that day, explaining the problem to her.
"You see, on Vega there was news that a terrible force was coming to earth to destroy it. Bit by bit there would be more pollution, more racism, and more hatred in the world, until it reaches the ultimate point, where the world will be destroyed."
"Will it be like when Queen Beryl destroyed the Moon Kingdom?" Angie asked.
"If you will remember correctly, I wasn't there." Krista replied softly.
Angie mulled this over. "How could you abandon us like that? We could have beaten her if you were there..."
"And never have fulfilled your destiny." Krista finished. "I have psychic powers, remember? In order for us all to live out our destiny, we all must follow the path given to us. And that was my path."
Angie nodded, silently understanding.
"Now, Angie, we must travel to Tokyo, to help the Sailor Scouts there to fight the evil that is approaching." Krista announced.
"But, Krista, we're not Sailor Scouts." Angie objected.
"Oh, Angie, did you forget that, too?" Krista asked, disgusted. "Watch this."
She held up her necklace and cried out, "Vega POWER!!!!!"
In a flash of purple light, she transformed into Sailor Vega, complete with sparkling purple hair and eyes.
Angie gasped as Sailor Vega approached her. "Now say 'Sunshine power', and you'll transform."
Angie whispered, "Sunshine POWER!!" and in a flash of yellow light, became the Sailor of the Sun, Sailor Sunshine.
Sailor Sunshine gasped when she saw herself. "Wow!!! I look so pretty!!!"
Sailor Vega laughed. "I like the shoes."
Sunshine's shoes were sparkling yellow sandals, obviously very comfy!! :-)
Sailor Vega announced, "It's time to go to Tokyo!!" Sailor Sunshine asked, "How?"
"Give me your hand." Vega ordered. Then she whispered, "Sailor Teleport!!" In a flash of purple and yellow light, they were off, tearing up the concrete behind them.
They arrived in an empty parking lot, bathed in moonlight as they gracefully landed on the pavement. Sailor Sunshine cried out, "Let's do it again!!!!"
Sailor Vega shook her head vigorously and said, "NO WAY!!!!"
A small yellow cat with green eyes approached them. The cat had a small sun on it's forhead. "Hello, Lunamis!!" Vega called out.
Sailor Sunshine leaned down to pet the cat. "What's it's name?"
"Lunamis. Or are you deaf?" The cat asked. "Where have you been, Sailor Sunshine?? I've been looking all over for you!!"
Sailor Sunshine gasped and leaped behind Sailor Vega, stammering, "that cat talked!!!"
"Yes, of course!! She's the one who wanted me to find you!! Have you forgotten your beloved pet, Lunamis? You were quite taken with her. And with the names of the Moon Kingdom's cats, Luna and Artemis. So you combined the names! Lunamis!!"
"Lunamis!!!!!" Sailor Sunshine squealed, picking up her pet and cuddling her. The cat rubbed against her chin, obviously pleased to be with her master once again.
Sailor Sunshine and Sailor Vega moved along the road, with Lunamis following close behind. Sailor Sunshine was still a little confused. "Why don't I remember everything? I remember most of the important stuff, but how could I forget my own pet?" She demanded.
Sailor Vega replied, "In the battle with Queen Beryl, your memories, along with the other sailor scouts', were wiped out."
"You mean no one else knows anything either?" Sailor Sushine asked, surprised.
"No, Luna and Artemis told them everything. The one named Sailor Moon is our leader, the moon princess. We were all princesses of our own planets, and members of her court." Sailor Vega explained.
"Oh." Sailor Sunshine said quietly. "Why do you need me, though?"
"Because you and I have a special combined attack that makes us unstoppable. Neither of us is strong enough to do it alone." Sailor Vega explained.
"Wow, what is it??" Sailor Sunshine asked excitedly.
"I can't tell you, but you will know what it is when danger arises." Sailor Vega told her. "It is your destiny, as the princess of the sun, to know what to do when the time is right."
Sailor Sunshine contemplated what Vega said to her as they walked the streets of Tokyo. "How would I know what to do? I'm only a teenager. I'm only just now starting to remember everything," she thought to herself.
She asked impatiently, "Where are we going?"
"I'm taking you to meet the Sailor Scouts."
"Where ARE they?? How long are we gonna walk?" Sailor Sunshine complained.
"Right there." Sailor Vega replied.
The Sailor Scouts were fighting a futile battle against a huge monster, large and green with tons of teeth. The monster kept throwing lightning at the scouts, causing them to scream and run.
Sailor Jupiter yelled out, "Supreme Thunder!!"
Sailor Mars yelled, "Fire Soul!!"
Sailor Venus cried, "Crescent Beam!!"
Sailor Mercury shouted, "Shabon Spray!!"
Nothing affected the monster. It just laughed its head off and kept throwing lightning bolts at it.
Sailor Moon cried out, "Moon Tiara Action!!" and threw her tiara. However, nothing helped.
Sailor Vega thought fast and ran at the monster.
Sailor Sushine cried out, "NO!!"Sailor Vega brought out her spear and twirled it around, creating a bunch of starlight, crying, "Vegan Starlight Spear Attack!!!!!"
The spear shot out of her hand, and in a whirl of purple light and glitter, the monster was stabbed in the heart, dead. It vanished with a wail.
All the Sailor Scouts, including Sailor Sunshine, stared at her in shock.
"Who are you??" Sailor Jupiter demanded. All the sailor senshi gathered around them.
"I'm Sailor Vega, and this is my sister, Sailor Sunshine. We're the Sailor Senshi of the sun," Vega replied.
Luna and Artemis nodded and announced, "Scout meeting at the temple tomorrow morning, ok?"
"Got it." They all responded. With backward glances, the scouts walked away, murmering to themselves.
Sailor Sunshine poked Sailor Vega. "Where are we staying tonight?"
"Good question." Vega replied. "Hey, guys?"
"Yah?" Sailor Moon asked.
"Can we stay with you tonight?" Sailor Vega and Sailor Sunshine said in unison.
Krista, Angie, and Usagi all settled down in the Tuskino home, all ready for bed. Usagi couldn't help but ask, "Where'd you get the goofy names from?"
Angie and Krista looked at each other. "Weird names?" They asked.
"Yah...." Usagi mumbled through a mouthful of chocolate cupcake. "Here, eat something.." She added. Angie and Krista looked apprehensively at the array of foods in front of them. The only thing recognizable were chocolate cupcakes and chocolate chip muffins. Krista remarked, "We're from the United States of America...."
"mehrphrmlf." Usagi replied through a bite of muffin.
Angie simply nodded and poked at an item of food. "What is this?" She asked in a frightened voice.
"What is ANY of this??" Krista added.
Usagi smiled happily. "I know my food!! This little critter is squid on a stick. Absoulutely DELICIOUS!!!! This is okonomiyaki, which is also yummy."
"Okonomiyaki?" They asked together.
"It looks like pizza to me..." Krista muttered, trying a piece.
Angie helped herself to a squid on a stick, looking terrified. "Krista, it's smiling at me!!!!" She exclaimed.
Usagi laughed her butt off at that one. "So what ARE you guys doing here, anyway?" She asked.
Halfway through Krista's explanation, Usagi fell asleep. She was snoring away when Angie poked Krista and asked, "How long are we going to stay here?? When can we go home??"
Krista just stared out the window at the stars. Angie knew she was looking towards Vega, thinking of Aaron. Krista's eyes were welling up with tears, making her eyes sparkle in the moonlight.
"Krista, are you ok?" Angie asked in a soft voice.
"Yah, I'm fine...." Krista whispered. "I must be strong enough to last through this mission.... I just wish I could be with him again, that's all. My love for him is my source of my power. Without that love, I have no power. Luckily, my love for him keeps growing, even as we're apart."
"Where does my power come from?" Angie inquired.
"The sun, of course. The sun is the source of happiness and light. That's why you're so bubbly and happy." Krista replied.
"Neat!!" Angie exclaimed. "Why doesn't your power come from the sun? You're my sister, after all..."
"Yes, but when I left the moon kingdom, I was stripped of all my powers. Then I discovered that real power comes from inside: Love, friendship, and happiness are the greatest powers of all. Even when you have no magical powers, those powers can overcome anything. I met Aaron, and I felt the most all encompassing love, and it filled me with strength and love, and happiness. I found I could channel that love into a weapon that could make people see that they need love, and it makes them learn to love as well." Krista replied.
"Wow.... I hope I can find love like that one day. I thought I had many times, but I was always wrong." Angie whispered.
Usagi stirred. "Mamo-chan.." She muttered. She woke up with a start. "Mamo-chan??" She asked, looking around. She blushed when she saw Angie and Krista looking at her curiously. "Sorry, I was dreaming of Mamoru."
"Who's Mamoru??" They asked in unison.
"My boyfriend. I'm Princess Serenity, and he's Prince Endymion. Our love was destined to be!" She said with a big smile.
The next morning Usagi, Krista, and Angie walked to Rei's temple to meet with the rest of the sailor senshi. As usual, Makoto, Minako, Rei, and Ami were right on time, waiting impatiently.
"There you are!!!" Rei cried out. "WHERE have you been?? And WHO is SHE???" she demanded, pointing at Krista.
Krista tilted her head up proudly. "I am Sailor Vega, the Queen of Vega."
"YOU ARE??" The other 4 chorused.
"Yes, I am."
"Where's your purple hair?" Minako asked.
Krista laughed. "In my human form I don't have purple hair. I only have purple hair when I am at my ultimate power."
"What are you guys doing here, anyway? Where did you come from?" Makoto asked.
Krista and Angie looked at each other. "You tell them, Krista." Angie said.
"Ok." Krista replied. "We are about to embark on the greatest battle of our lives. At 4:00pm today, our battle against our greatest enemy will commence."
"WHAT???" They all cried out.
"HOW do you know this?" Rei demanded.
"And why didn't you tell us before?" Usagi demanded, practically in tears.
m psychic. And also I couldn't tell you because there is no way to avoid it." Krista replied.
ie gave Krista an abrupt hug. "We're sisters," she explained. "We're both princesses of the sun."
They all nodded, too stunned to say much.
Luna stepped forward, Artemis following behind her. "So what you're saying is the battle of the universe is about to start." She stated.
"Yes." Krista replied. "And you are completely powerless against it. That is why we are here."
They all stared at her as Mamoru and another guy walked up.
"Hey, girls!" Mamoru called out. The other guy was with a tall, handsome man with blue eyes and long blond hair.
Usagi yelled, "Mamo-chan!!" and ran into his arms.
Krista yelled, "Aaron!!" and ran into his arms.
Angie beamed as she watched her sister's face light up with happiness.
The four senshi looked at each other in confusion. "Who's that guy?" Minako asked.
"He looks just like my old boyfriend..." Makoto replied, dreamily gazing at Aaron.
*Sweatdrops all around*
Krista turned around and said, "This is my King, Aaron of Vega."
All the senshi raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
Usagi pulled away from Mamoru and said, "Tell them what's happening."
Krista replied, "Aaron already knows. He IS my husband."
"WHAT???" Angie shrieked. "You told me you were only ENGAGED!!!"
"Angie, wouldn't you have thought it odd that a 17 year old girl was married?" Krista demanded.
"Otay..." Angie muttered sheepishly.
"Now, tell us!! What's going ON here???" Rei demanded angrily, tossing her hair to one side.
Krista clung to Aaron's hand and pulled Angie close as well. Lunamis walked over and joined them. Krista said quietly, "We are the only ones who can save the earth: Me, Aaron, Angie, and Lunamis. You guys have been here too long, you are already vicitms of the evil approaching."
"What do you mean?" Minako asked, her eyes wide.
"Hatred is sweeping the earth even as we speak. Petty differences come between friends, cults burn down havens for others, wars are breaking out, plagues wiping out the nations. This is normal for earth, but it's all going on RIGHT NOW, increasing in scope.
Soon, it will consume us all. Anyone who has been on earth for a while will be consumed, including you all." Krista said softly. "We came here to save your lives, even though some of us weren't aware." She smiled at Angie.
Angie just nodded quietly, and looked at her watch. The time was inching closer to 4pm. Clouds were gathering, and it was getting darker by the minute. Thunder rumbled in the distance. Krista's eyes were filled with worry as she clung to Aaron.
The other girls watched as Krista kissed Aaron goodbye. "You must know that I might not come back." Aaron merely nodded as his eyes filled with tears. "I love you." Krista whispered as she joined the other girls.
Luna, Artemis, and Lunamis waked over and joined Aaron. "I love you too," he whispered, taking the cats into his arms and vanishing.
Krista walked over to the girls and said, "You'd guys had better transform." They nodded.
In unison, they cried out, "Mercury Power!", "Mars Power!", "Jupiter Power!", "Venus Power!", "Moon Prism Power!".... "Makeup!!" They all transformed into the sailor senshi.
As they transformed, Krista walked over to Angie. "Here." she said, handing Angie a beautiful necklace. It was glass, with a sunflower and stardust in it, preserved in fluid. "This is yours, princess. It is your transformation talisman. Keep it forever, as it is your key to the sun."
Angie took it, and shook it to watch the glitter fall in the glass heart. "But, Krista, I still don't know what to do..."
"You will. Now, transform." Krista replied.
Angie held up her present and cried out, "Sunshine Power!" As she did, a large sunshine came out and encircled her. In a burst of light, she became Sailor Sunshine.
In turn, Krista transformed into Sailor Vega.
"Are you ready?" Sailor Vega asked. "It's 3:58."
"NO!!" Sailor Sunshine sobbed.
"Too bad." Sailor Vega replied. "Give me your hand." Sailor Sunshine looked at her strangely but did as she asked.
"Super Love Star Power!" Sailor Vega cried out. In a whirl of sparkling light, Sailor Sunshine and Sailor Vega were transformed into Super Senshi.
"Now, you are ready." Sailor Vega said with a smile, admiring Sailor Sunshine's super outfit.
"Let's go!" Sailor Sunshine said, acting on a sudden burst of bravery.
"Wait a minute!!" Sailor Moon cried out. "You can't do this without my crystal!!"
Sailor Vega shook her head. "Not even your crystal can help us this time, Princess. It is our destiny to do this, to save this world, as it is your destiny in the future to preserve this world that we save today." Sailor Moon's eyes went wide, and she nodded. "We're with you." she whispered. All the senshi nodded behind her.
"Come on, Sailor Sunshine," Sailor Vega said, turning to her. "It is time."
"Where are we going?" Sailor Sunshine asked.
"Oh, not far." Sailor Vega replied.
Sailor Vega and Sailor Sunshine arrived in a field not far away from Rei's temple. It was large and empty, with a large, dense mass of fog floating over it.
Who is it we're fighting here?" Sailor Sunshine demanded.
Sailor Vega just pointed at the fog. "Right there he is." She responded.
"The FOG?" Sailor Sunshine asked.
"Inside the fog is a being stronger than anyone from earth. He is Xonan, the former King of Vega. He is the ultimate evil, as Sailor Moon is the ultimate good."
"Then why isn't Sailor Moon fighting him??" Sailor Sunshine asked worriedly.
"Because she is not ready yet. When she is Neo-Queen Serenity 10,000 years from now, she will be ready. But not until then."
Sailor Sunshine looked at the fog and strode forward, grasping her necklace. She whispered, "Please give me the strength to carry on." With that, she looked up and cried out, "Super Sunshine Sparkle!!!!" A huge amount of sparkling stars flew out of her hands, blasting the fog away to reveal Xonan, a huge, towering man of at least 9 feet, with long black hair. He laughed a deep, rich laugh.
"You are the fools who dare to fight me??" He laughed. "Please, spare me." With that, he waved his hand, and a flash of light flew from his finger tips, blasting the two senshi backwards.
Sailor Vega looked at Sailor Sunshine, who was lying on the ground whispering, "I don't wanna play this game no more..."
Sailor Vega cried out, "Vegan Super Nova!!!!" Whirling around, a humongous blast of light poured out of her, blasting Xonan backwards onto the ground. The giant shook his head, and stood up.
"I'm surprised you have such strength!! It's truly amazing how you could do that. No matter.... I don't think you'll be doing that again." Laughing once again, he blasted Sailor Vega this time with fire, singing her nicely as she collapsed to the ground. Sailor Sunshine was crying now. "We can't do this! We can't win!"
Sailor Vega gritted her teeth. "Angie, we have to do this. RIGHT NOW. Grasp your necklace and say 'Super Sunshine Power'."Sailor Sunshine nodded and whispered through her tears, "Super Sunshine Power!!" With that, she whirled around in a great wind of light and sunflower petals, becoming the Princess of the Sun, Princess Angela. Her long brown hair glittered with sunlight, and her beautiful yellow dress shone brightly. She looked at Sailor Vega and smiled, gracefully landing on the ground.
Sailor Vega grasped her own pendant and whispered, "Super Vegan Power!!" In a whirl of purple hearts and stars, she became the beautiful Queen of Vega, with bright purple hair with glittering streaks in it, and a gorgeous dress that glittered of stardust. She was Queen Kristina, and she walked over to Princess Angela and took her hand.
They looked at each other and nodded. Together they cried out, "Sunshine Super Nova!!!" They whirled together in perfect sychronization, emitting beautiful light which spread all over the world, washing it clean of all the hatred and evil that Xonan had brought with him. As for Xonan, he decided to fight this with another blast, this one of water. The healing of the world was completed as the two girls were blasted back onto the ground.
Queen Kristina knew it was her turn now, as the Queen of Vega. She stood up and yelled, "Vegan Love Star Blast!!!!" Her normally tame power lashed out of her at full blast, hurling Xonan away, onto the ground, wounded at last.
Princess Angela knew it was her moment now. She screamed, "Super Sunshine Smile!!!!" Her normally very tame power created a huge ball of light and fire which engulfed Xonan, destroying him forever.
Queen Kristina ran over to her sister and they embraced. "I told you you'd know what to do, my sister."
Princess Angela smiled and nodded, knowing the world was at peace.
All the senshi met at Rei's temple the next morning, praising the two newest senshi.
"How did you guys do it??" Usagi demanded.
"Well, we had to be in our ultimate form, as Princess of the Sun and Queen of Vega." Krista replied.
"Wow..." Makoto replied, in awe.
Krista and Angie just smiled.
"I have to go back to Aaron now.." Krista whispered. "I'll miss you all." She hugged all of them. "If you ever need me, just call my name. I can hear you."
They all nodded. Angie said, "I want to get back to Boyertown. Krista, I'd be honored if you'd come with me..."
Krista shook her head. "Maybe later, but I have a kingdom to tend to, remember? Maybe someday. I'll come visit, I assure you."
Angie hugged her and the other senshi. "I love ya, sis."
"Yah, I know." Krista smiled at her. "Well, farewell to you all!!" With that, she vanished in a whirl of stars.
Angie got into a taxi to ride back to Boyertown. Strangely enough, she knew that she would see her sister again, and that thought made her content.
Angie got into Boyertown school early the next day, with many friends running up to her, happy to see her. She smiled as she showed off her necklace, and many people grabbed for it, wanting to shake it and watch the glitter sparkle. Angie laughed and chatted like usual, and noticed a small girl with dark brown hair in the corner. She did a double take, but the girl was gone. Angie smiled, knowing her sister was looking out for her.
