Darien walked into to the fancy restaurant. It had taken him two very tiring weeks to get a reservation for today. Raye and Lita chatted excitedly to each other as they followed him inside.

They were seated next to a indoor fountain with sculpted roses on it. All who passed the fountain could only gaze at its beauty. It was made with great love and care. In the middle were two figures hugging each other close. The young man was seen wearing some unusual armor with a cape surrounding him while the lady wore a billowy gown with circular accents on it.

Raye looked at the fountain in amazement, "It's so beautiful."

The waitress looked at Raye with interest. "Would you like to hear the story about the Earth Prince and the Moon Princess?" Lita focused her attention on the girl. Both nodded their heads in agreement as they waited for the waitress to speak.

"A thousand years ago, when the Earth was one country ruled by one family, its chosen Prince was sent to the Moon to kill the Moon Kingdom's Princess. If he did so, he would then become King. He went up to the Moon, not even believing their were people on the Moon. He was wrong," smiled the Waitress as she gave each of them a menu, "As soon as he arrived on the Moon, he was welcomed with a glorious city before him. It is said to be located on the Sea of Serenity. After searching for the Moon Princess, he finally spotted her in one of the Moon Palace's many gardens..."

The restaurant manager stared daggers toward the employee. The waitress stopped her story and took out a pad of paper and a pen to write down their orders. "I'll tell you the story after your done eating if you want." she whispered softly. With a loud voice she spoke, "Did you find what you want?" The manager frowned slightly but decided to ignore her. Raye and Lita ordered some sort of Italian food while Darien had something that was in French.

"Darien, are you okay? You seem to be in a daze. What's wrong?"

Darien looked at his sister in surprise. Could she see that he was distracted by those sky blue eyes or irresistible pink lips. He soon realized what he was thinking and blushed, noticing that his sister and her friend were watching him closely. "So Darien," Lita grinned evilly, "Are you thinking of someone or should I say your girlfriend?"

Raye burst out laughing, "Cold hearted Darien going lovey dovey over someone!? Like that will ever happen!" Raye snorted as she spit out her drink from laughing which went all over Darien. "Opps." she muttered as she quickly handed him a napkin. "Don't drink while laughing like a hyena Sissy." Darien mumbled as he wiped away the sticky substance off himself.

They all ate their food in silence. They all had to admit that the food was good but Lita's cooking was even better. The waitress who now wore civilian clothing walked up to them. "Mind if I join you?" She quickly grabbed a chair and sat next to the group. "By the way, my name is Michelle. Pleased to meet you all. Raye gasped, “I knew I've seen you before somewhere! You're the famous musician Michelle Marinno!"

"I see you have heard of me. And who are all of you?"

Lita spoke for all of them, "I'm Lita and they are Darien and Raye." Michelle relaxed a bit and looked at the curious group.

"Now that you're finished with your meal, I'll finish the story." Tables around them went closer to the group, in hope to listen to the ending of the tale.

"The Prince of Earth held out his sword and was about to kill her when the young Princess turned around to face him. The prince was stunned by such beauty and didn't have the heart to kill her. The Moon Princess stared at the Prince's deep blue eyes and knew right away this was the man she would marry... Or so she thought. That would be another story which would take so long. The Princess would go down to Earth and visit her Prince until one day, they both were killed. Their future lives would always search for each other down on Earth. Till this day, it is still a mystery where the two lovers are now. They say they will become the powerful rulers they were suppose to become in a thousand or so years ."

By the time Michelle finished her story, people gathered around the table to hear the lovely tale. Once she was done, everyone clapped while the manager beamed with pride. Michelle rolled her eyes at the manger as she bowed to the crowd. "Michelle, you're already a millionaire, why are you working as a waitress at this place." Raye asked. Michelle smiled, "I don't really work here. I'm just covering for my friend Hannah." (Hotaru)

Darien paid the bill and they all said good-bye to their new friend. When he first heard of the Moon Princess, he imagined Serena with her two buns streaming on her head, wearing a silky white gown with golden accents decorating her slim waist. He knew he really liked Serena but wasn't sure if she liked him. Deep down, he loved her dearly and would do anything for her.

Lita headed back to her restaurant while Raye and Darien took a stroll to the park. Raye looked up at her tall brother, "Can you tell me who you like?" Darien grinned and started to run away from his younger sister.

He wasn't looking where he was going and soon bumped into someone.

The woman had fiery red hair and the coldest eyes ever. "Darien, if that you! I never saw you in a month!" squealed the woman as she hugged him tightly, giving kisses all over his face.

Darien pushed his ex girlfriend away from him, "Beryl, I told you it was over between us!" Raye caught up to them and stared at Beryl, "You used to go out with this slut Darien? Thank goodness you broke up with her! Now tell me about your girlfriend!"

Beryl looked at Darien sadly, "You have a new girlfriend Darien? I bet she isn't as pretty as me." She then looked at Raye, "And you little girl, are you his little girlfriend? Aren't you a bit too young to go out with him? You aren't even pretty! You really are the opposite." Raye's famous temper took hold of her as she stepped up close to Beryl and punched her straight in the eye.

"I am much more beautiful than you ever will be you little..." Raye began but was stopped by Darien. He quickly led his sister away from Beryl and ended up by the lake.

"Nice punch Sis. I was dying to do that." Darien laughed heartily. His phone rang and quickly picked up the cell phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi Darien! It's Andrew."

"Hey Andrew! You finally made it here."

"Yeah. I was wondering if Raye and you want to come to a masquerade ball tomorrow held in my honor."

"Sure. What time?"

"Five p.m. Wear a costume."

"A costume?!"

"It's my cousin's idea. OK, I gotta run. Bye!"

"Bye Andrew."

Darien quickly put his phone away and walked off to his new apartment. "Who was that Darien? Your girlfriend?" Raye giggled as she gave her brother a side ways glance. He ignored her as he entered the elevator to the top floor. He put the key in and the doors opened revealing a narrow hallway. "I just need the address to someone and then we can leave." Darien told his sister. She looked at him confused.

A few minutes later, Darien emerged from his room carrying a folded piece of paper. "Andrew is having a costume party so we have to rent some costumes. I found this place where we could go." Raye stared at her brother annoyed, but didn't say a word. Instead, she followed him silently.

The owner of the store showed them many costumes until Darien decided on wearing a tuxedo with cape and a top hat. It also came with a white mask. Raye found a long red dress, with purple trimmings that matched her eyes. She disliked the idea of wearing a mask but Darien insisted she wear one. Her eyes caught on to a red and purple mask with feathers on the sides. Shimmery beads bordered the eye holes.

They quickly paid for their items and left. Both couldn't wait for the on coming party. They headed home to sleep peaceful dreams.

They waited outside the apartment complex for the limo that was to pick them up and drive them to the place Andrew was staying.

"When will that stupid limo show up? I don't think I could stand up any longer!"

Darien smiled at his sister's remark, "That's what happens when someone wears six inch heals."

"It's five in a half inches long." mumbled Raye.

The limo finally arrived and drove them to a huge mansion.

"Nice mansion but ours is still bigger." Commented Raye.

"Don't be like that. Their mansion is just as big as ours." Darien scolded.

Andrew spotted his friend and quickly went up to them. "Your finally here! What took you so long?" Andrew asked. Darien put on his white mask and responded, "The limo you sent us must have gotten lost since he arrived late. Don't fire him though. He's a nice man and needs the job."

They all entered the ballroom and could see hundreds of people in magnificent costumes dancing around. "So, did you get your Ph.D. yet Dr. Darien-Know-It-All?" Raye stared at her brother in suprise, “You mean to tell me that your a Doctor? So that's why you left home. We thought you left to be a homeless bum in the streets." Darien faked a cough, "I did no such thing. Plus, I will be an official Doctor in a few weeks. That is, if I pass of course."

"You'll pass all right." Raye said.

Serena stared helplessly at those dark blue eyes. They reminded her of someone but she couldn't guess who. She looked all over the room for her favorite cousin and spotted him chatting to a couple. Her breath was caught up in her throat as she saw the young man offer the girl a dance. She looked on jealously at them and decided to find out who they were. Somehow, the man in the tuxedo reminded her of a distant memory.

She passed her cousin and went right up to the dancing couple.

"Excuse me, may I have this dance?" she asked the masked man who in turn gasped.

Darien danced to soft music with Raye until he heard a voice behind him. As he turned around, he noticed who she looked like.

"Moon Princess... I would love to dance with you." Before him was the Moon Princess in his thoughts. Dress and all!"
