Chapter Seven

I was laying in my bed, reading a book I'd found at the library. It was a thick book, by someone named Gayle Greeno a textbook about the royalty of the planets, but I was determined to finish it before the due date that the librarian had stamped in the back. I was feeling good about myself, I had a great new life, nevermind I couldn't remember the other one, and I had nothing to worry about. All of a sudden I heard someone yelling something, it sounded like "Sailor Telepart" or something, I ran to my window and was completely dumbfounded. There was a huge group of people on the patio, one girl, taller than the others was holding a big stick in her hands with a crescent moon symbol on the top. She started to lean a little and then she was all over the place, she'd lost her balance and fallen off the table she'd been standing on. She stood up and brushed herself off, glaring at the others as if daring them to laugh, she was beautiful. Then I remembered, I'd seen this girl before, she'd come to the house with the bluehaired girl beside her and a bunch of other girls. I jumped up and ran down the hall, Mrs. Cunningham wasn't home, she'd gone to her neighbors house for a baby shower. I opened the front door and ran around the house to the patio, the blonde girl was standing in front of the group, her back turned toward me and she seemed to be surveying the area. I cleared my throat and she turned around. I know I looked terrible, my face still puffy and red, it had only been two days since all the bandages had been removed. Well, god damn how he looked, he had to find out what these people wanted.

"Excuse me miss, but what are you doing at my house?" I asked.

"Your house, isn't this Mrs. Cunninghams?"

"Yes it is, I'm her son, Endymion, nice to meet you."

"Son? I didn't know she had a son"

"I'm adopted, I was found, and she took me in and informally adopted me as her son."

"Oh, well we're the refugee party from the moon, some of us will be staying here, others have been assigned to various houses in the area." What was this girl talking about!

"I'm sorry, you can come in, but Mrs. Cunningham is at a baby shower next door and she didn't say anything about a refugee party. She'll be back soon and she'll know what to do, but come on in for now." I led them all into the house and they started breaking off into groups under the blonde girl's direction.
