Brief History:
Shortly after Superman died from his battle with Doomsday, Project Cadmus decided that the world needed a Superman. They managed to gain some of his DNA, but were unable to crack it codes. So they tinkered with it until they were able to start making clones. They made at least 13 with 12 of them as failures. Clone #13 was in the adolescent stage of development when the "Newspaper Legion" busted him out. Right away, he assumed the name Superman because he believed he was a perfect clone of Superman, only as a teenager. When anybody called him "Superboy," he always became angry. When the real Superman returned from the dead, Superboy teamed up with him, Steel , and Supergirl to make a last stand at Engine City (formerly Coast City) to stop the evil Cyborg Superman. After talking with Superman, Superboy conceded as Superman ans accepted the name of Superboy. He has since moved to Hawaii and joined the young hero team Young Justice.
