          Episode Summary:
After discovering that Caitlin hasn't been mucking out Bandit's stall, Dori accuses Caitlin of being irresponsible. Caitlin later asks Dori to hire her as an assistant at Dori's veterinarian clinic. Dori refuses saying, "You're not very responsible, Caitlin. I need someone that I can rely on." Caitlin asks Griffen for advice on how she can convince Dori to hire her. Griffen agrees to give her advice only if Caitlin agrees to do any favor that he asks of her at a later date. After Caitlin agrees to this deal, Griffen tells Caitlin to take more interest in Dori's cases and to ask technical questions. Dori later asks Griffen to watch the clinic because she has something to do. Griffen is upset about this because he is forced to cancel plans that he has to take swing lessons at a dance studio where Annie is a dance teacher. Griffen likes Annie and wants to impress her. He collects on the favor that Caitlin owes him by asking Caitlin to watch the clinic while he goes to the dance studio. While Caitlin is watching over the animals in the clinic, a dog named Pepper begins to have puppies. Caitlin phones Griffen at the dance studio and asks him to help her. Griffen refuses to help at first, but changes his mind. Together, Caitlin and Griffen help Pepper deliver thirteen puppies. Dori returns after the puppies have been born and finally decides to hire Caitlin as her assistant.

          Episode Highlights:
          1. While mucking out Bandit's stall, Caitlin mutters, "Bandit, you sure turn a pile of oats into something totally disgusting! I should get hazard pay for this!"

          2. Caitlin phones Griffen at the dance studio to ask him to help her with Pepper. Dori's charts indicate that thirteen puppies are expected. Caitlin shouts at Griffen, "Griffen! It's thirteen! Didn't you hear me? Thirteen! This is life and death here!" Griffen says, "So is this!" Caitlin asks, "But how do I get them out? I don't know what to do!" Griffen responds, "You don't have to do anything! Dogs have been having puppies for years without help!" Caitlin feels that she can't handle the situation and she takes off riding on Bandit. However, she changes her mind and returns to Pepper. She tells herself, "I can't leave her there alone! There's no one else to help her!"

          3. Caitlin's closing epilogue: "Maybe Pepper could have done it all by herself, but I think she was glad to have me around. Whelping those little guys made me feel pretty responsible. And that's a new feeling. Okay, Bandit, I guess I'll be mucking out your stall regularly now, gross as it is."
