My Overall Opinion of the Episode:
This episode had the potential to be quite a spooky episode. However, there were some silly and weakly written elements that made things less dramatic and believable than they could have been.

          Episode Summary:
It's Jordan's birthday and Caitlin and Griffen decide to throw him a bowling party at the bowling alley where Griffen works as "Mr. Squirrel." They plan the party after closing time when the manager has gone home. Jim comes by and says that a convict escaped from the county jail and was seen heading toward town. Meanwhile, Nikki, Brett, and Taylor show up at the bowling alley for the party. Mysterious things start to happen. Griffen's squirrel costume turns up missing. Brett finds the door locked from the outside. They are trapped inside the building. Griffen disappears. When the pins don't reset, Caitlin walks down to the pins. Suddenly, someone in Griffen's squirrel costume pops out and grabs Caitlin. Caitlin is dragged into the pit kicking and screaming. Griffen finally shows up and claims that he somehow got locked in the electrical room. Mysterious and terrifying things continue to happen. Finally, they all make it to the fire exit only to find the person in the squirrel costume behind the door! At first, they run in fear. However, Brett tackles the person in the costume. They take the head off and find Caitlin! It was all a prank! Caitlin and Griffen had set up a "fright night" for Jordan's birthday. It was Griffen who pulled Caitlin into the pit. Jim and Dori show up and reveal that they overheard Caitlin and Griffen's plans. Jim confesses that he and Dori set up their own prank. Jim made up the story about the escaped convict and he locked the door from the outside so they couldn't escape. It was a double set-up!

          Episode Highlights:
          1. Caitlin's opening prologue: "Your birthday. I mean, you wait and wait for it expecting two suns to rise on your big day and miracles to happen. And then it arrives and everyone forgets. I remember what that was like. But, hey! I just had a cool birthday! Maybe I can pass it on!"

          2. When the prank is at its maximum level and fear among the group is at its highest, Brett rather emotionally says to everyone, "Hey, I love you guys." They all draw close to each other. It's a brief but touching moment.

          3. A mysterious girl named Blair appears on and off throughout the episode. The unusual nature of her character is never explained. Also, it is never explained how she was able to get into the bowling alley after it was closed and locked. The end of the episode shows Blair throwing a bowling bowl down a lane. No one knows that she is in the building. Jim is taking a picture of everyone as the ball hits the pins. Everyone's smile turns to an expression of freight as they hear the pins fall.
