My Overall Opinion of the Episode:
This is the second episode that features Alexandra Purvis as Julie, Brett's  strong-willed younger sister. Her character adds an exciting element to the show. It's too bad that this very skilled young actress did not appear in more episodes.

          Alexandra Purvis -- Julie Stevens
          Tania Saulnier -- Taylor Langford

          "Come" -- Kybosh

          Episode Summary:
Brett's younger sister Julie stays the weekend at the Lowe's ranch while the rest of her family is away. Julie admires Caitlin as somewhat of a "big sister" figure because Caitlin convinced Jim and Dori to board Julie's horse Patches so that Julie's parents wouldn't sell him (See the episode Little Sister.) Caitlin, however, sees Julie as a nuisance. Caitlin tries to ignore Julie while Julie begins to imitate Caitlin. Julie listens to Caitlin's CD's. Julie tries to ride Caitlin's horse Bandit, but she is thrown off. She even takes Caitlin's leather jacket and wears it. This infuriates Caitlin. Julie begins to feel that Caitlin is rejecting her. Julie says, "I thought you were so cool! But you're not! You're just full of yourself!" Caitlin angrily responds, "Wait a minute! You took my jacket because you wanted to be like me? That is so juvenile!" In the end, however, Caitlin softens up a little and begins to spend time with Julie.

          Episode Highlights:
          1. Caitlin tries to create artistic photographs but she gets overly frustrated with the results. After Caitlin and Julie have their argument about the leather jacket, Julie gives Caitlin's CD's back. Julie says, "I won't borrow any of your things again." Caitlin angrily responds, "Good!" Julie begins to look at some of the photographs that Caitlin has developed. Caitlin, however, doesn't like them and throws several of them in the trash. Julie says, "But you worked so hard on them." Julie looks at several photographs and says, "I like these." Caitlin responds, "You're just saying that so I won't be mad at you anymore." Julie responds, "No, it's true." Caitlin takes a second look at the photos and begins to realize that Julie is right. Caitlin then begins to develop a much more positive attitude toward Julie.

          2. Caitlin's closing epilogue: "I thought Julie was getting in my way, but I lost my sense of direction all by myself. And she helped me find it again. I guess art is no different from most things you do. It has to come from inside of yourself to be true."

          3. Taylor, the most popular girl in school, has been at odds with both Caitlin and Griffen from the very beginning. However, in an interesting twist of circumstances, Taylor and Griffen actually begin to develop a friendship in this episode. Taylor comes to the Lowe's ranch to help Griffen work on an "on-line" yearbook for High River High School. Conflict occurs between them because Taylor thinks Griffen still has a crush on her. Griffen says to her, "You're gonna' go through life expecting every guy to have a thing for you?" Taylor asks, "Well, don't you want every girl to have a thing for you?" Griffen answers, "No. I get enough attention from my friends and from my family." Taylor looks away and is silent. Griffen then says, "Is that what this is about? You don't get enough attention at home?" Taylor responds, "That's crazy! I'm not messed up! I get lots of love at home." But then she adds, "Maybe my dad doesn't always show it." Griffen asks, "And you wish he did?" Taylor says, "Yeah." Griffen asks, "Does having every guy after you make you forget about that?" Taylor sadly responds, "Not really." Griffen responds, "Then maybe some real friends can help." Taylor asks, "Do you think we can be friends?" Griffen responds, "Sure."
