UNION MEETING BUILDING IN CALUMET

This is the building that many Unions held their meetings in. It is of similar design of the Italian Hall, with a high, tall stairway.

It has recently been purchaced by the U.S. government and will be restored as part of the Keweenaw National Historic Park.

SIGNS AND PLAQUES AT THE SITE

This sign is a Michigan Historical Marker that details the story of 
the 1913 strike and the tragedy that occured on 12/24/1913.
It was dedicated to the miners and the families endurance and 
provided by Operating Engineers Local 324, Escanaba, Michigan.
