Lightning
Lightning is the most dangerous and unpredictable hazards of thunderstorms. It kills more people then tornadoes and hurricanes combined, each year. The old myth that lightning does not strike twice in the same spot, is false. Lightning strikes anywhere it wants and whenever it wants. During a storm, stay away from trees and other tall objects. The safest place to be during a lightning storm is in you car with the windows shut.
