UNCLE JOHN LUBINSKAS

Country Music never had a more devoted fan and promoter than "Uncle John Lubinskas." From an early age he read and collected memorabilia until he was an authority on the subject of the "Grand Ole Opry." In the late 1970s, he became part owner of Radio Station WBYW-FM in Grand Rapids, and this became his opportunity to share the love of country music with the people of Western Michigan! In the 1980s, he began to sponsor country music shows featuring yesterday's stars.

Uncle John was inducted into the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame on September 7, 1996 at the Saginaw County Fairgrounds in Saginaw, Michigan.
