Nora Barnes was never a stage performer as such, but her interest in promoting country music was felt through
the many fan clubs she helped organize for country music performers. Her influence extended on to Nashville as the unknown performers became better known
known through her efforts. In Saginaw, Nora Barnes enjoyed stopping at station
WKNX where she visited with Bob Dyer and met new country music artists. Nora
Ellen Barnes passed away on November 9, 1967. She was inducted into the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame in 1973.
