BILL AND JAN TACEY

After Bill and Jan Tacy became the new owners of Lucky's Record Shop in Bay City, they continued the tradition of hosting a country music clientele. The Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame continued to be housed here.

After 50 years of business, 22 of which were worked by the Taceys, Lucky's Record Shop was closed in September of 1994. This meant that the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame needed a new home. Buzz Rider found one at Buddy's Place near Chesaning where it was housed until 1996.

Bill and Jan Tacey became members of the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame in 1995 during ceremonies held at the Saginaw County Fairgrounds in Saginaw Michigan.
