Poems By Mario

Our Moon
Once the moon was just a light that hid and trailed the darkness
Now's the star that brightens hope and lights our loving oneness
Gazing at your eyes and soul where precious joy's been gracing
I feel your heart that's reaching out, I see your splendor blazing

Once the soul that hid and trembled from touch and jovial candor
Now spends each breath in love, embracing all its splendor
The bashful soul who reigned in though , pondering and veiled
Now's the soul given in to hope, our hearts have now prevailed

Precious

Precious is the heart
Which tender its love
In though.

Pencil

Giving life
To a splintered strand
Off a fallen tree
I with laughter
I with joy
I with tears
Write my heart
To you.

Rain Rain

I remember that wet afternoon
When we complicated friendship
The arms of that soothing rain,
The wet walk that would cleanse, baptize
Our initial step toward one another
Oh, the aroma of the refreshing rain
As it softly lashed against the silenced
Ground and the concrete sidewalk!

How a simple gaze imprisoned our words
As we invaded into each other's voids
With a single wet kiss in wet public
Kiss that would bring a thousand sighs
In silence dwarf the sound of thunder
With the acknowledgement of two hearts
Caressing their fate; touching destiny
Once pleasantly enthralled in friendship
Now passionately entwined in love.
