I first met Christian on a technical training course in 2002, Christian was in charge of the training.
I soon found out that we had lot in common, motorcycles and diving, although his diving experience is also into the technical area, and he has been trying to convince me for years to try re-breathers, well for now I am sticking to open circuit ..... maybe one day.
During business trips together we sometimes have found time to dive in the Red Sea near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Christian has also visited me with his girlfriend Veronika for diving in UAE and in Oman.
We had a plan to do my 1,000th dive together in Aqaba, but both himself and Veronika had colds and were unable to dive.
Our plans to meet up again in October 2011 in Aqaba, Jordan all came together when he and Veronika flew over from Austria and we drove down together to dive at Dive Aqaba. Unfortunately near the end of the week I developed an ear infection and missed 4 dives with them.
During that trip Veronika also did her 100th dive, which was on "Cedar Pride"
