For The Teens in Littleton
I went to school one bright, sunny day
not knowing what was about to be taken away
I saw my friends and they greeted me
now my friends, again I won't see
until it's time to join me here
my loved ones feel I'm far from near
someone took my life away
why they did it they didn't say
never again to see the sun rise
never again to open my eyes
to all the beauty that was in my life
never to have or to be a loving wife
I left behind a mom and dad
I left them feeling really sad
Please dear God help ease their pain
and don't allow my death be in vain
show the world there's really love
show the world from the skies above
pitty the souls that inflicted this pain
though I can not see what they tried to gain
Even as I seem so far
look up, for the brightest star
I ask my friends to do this task
Love thy neighbor, that's all I ask.
You may not see me but I'm here
In your heart, soul and always near
