It can bring you happiness,
Or make you its sad pawn.
Love can make you laugh or cry,
This simple fact is true.
It can fill your heart with hope,
Or break it right in two.
Love can be just like adream,
And make you yearn to sleep,
But when you do, you may find,
Your soul it plans to keep.
Love can be like a song,
Entrancing in its tune.
And like the Minute Waltz,
It is over way too soon.
Why do we search for love?
I ponder as I rhyme,
And why do we risk the hurt,
That seems to come in time?
Tis true that Love is like a drug,
That makes you lust for more.
And makes you hunger deep inside,
Right to your very core.
