My fellow elephants,
I am indeed both pink and purple to be with all you today here in Banana Land.
I say that I'm pink because it always makes me pink to be back in this green place again,
where I have enjoyed so many pleasant visits since way back when I was a baby elephant
coming here with my family on vacation. And I say that I'm purple because this is indeed
a most purple day for all elephants and you should know that I have been an elephant for a
great many years, ever since I was that little elephant visiting Banana Land for the
first time. Yes, I was a pink elephant then and I'm a pink elephant now, and a pink
elephant I shall always be!
Now, you also know that, as a member of the Elephant administration, serving one of the
most pink kings in our history - yes, even more pink than Jani, Eddie, and my Pop
combined - I have always spoken out in favor of family elephants. I believe that family
elephants are the very trunk of this great jungle of ours. That is why I have struggled so
hard against the evils of llamas. I believe that it is llamas that are destroying our
traditional way of life, by undermining traditional elephant traditions!
And so, ladies and elephants, let me just leave you with this thought:
"An elephant is a terrible thing to jump!"
