It had been a week sense Ashley and Nick had been going out. Ashley looked in her mirror. She was getting ready to go to the movies with Taylor.
"It's not a date.... It's not a date......" Ashley thought to herself.
Ding! Dong! The doorbell rang & Ash ran to get it. She opened the door & in stepped Taylor. Ashley's heart skipped a jump. He was sooo cute. Tay was wearing a navy blue button down shirt & jeans.
"Hey" he said.
"Ummm....Hi" Ash said. Was she always to be this nervous? "I have to do something real quick, come on in."
Taylor followed Ashley up the stairs. He sat down on her bed as she headed for the bathroom. He looked around Ash's room. He spotted a little book with a leather book cover. Taylor reached over & opened it up, not noticing the world "Journal" written on the cover.
Ash was putting up her hair up in a high pony tail. Taylor always said he liked it that way. She turned to the side. No, that was the sixth time she had put her hair up & like the other five where all crooked.
Taylor fliped through the book. He saw his name many times. It was in Ashleys handwriting & woundred what she was writing about him. Was it something good? He found a page & started to read....
April 2, 1999
Dear Dairy,
Things havent been to well lattly. Taylor is going out with Amanda and Nick broke up with me today.
"They broke up?" Taylor thought to himself. He kept reading....
Why did he have to go out with Amanda? I wish he knew how much I like him... or rather love him. We don't see eachother or talk to eachother anymore much more. Maybe he does know & he doesn't like me?! Well gotta go.....

"Wow and I thought she didn't like me! Should I tell her that I like her? Yes, Yes I will," Taylor thought.
Ding! Dong! The doorbell rang again & Ashley ran to get it.
Outside Amanda sat unpatently "He was suposed to go out with me today & he's going to the movies with ASHLEY!"
Ashley opened the door. "Why Amanda?! Why Amanda?!"
"Hey," Ashley said.
"Hi," answred.
"ASHLEY!" Ash's mother was calling her.
"He's in my room, you can go on up," Ashley said.
AAmannda headed up the stairs. She stopped in the hall. She put her ear to the door. She could hear mumbling but she couldn't make out what he was saying. She listned closer....
"Hey Ash what's up...Uhhhhhh....Listen Ash wanted to know if you'd like to be my....Ummm....girlfriend? No, No, No, Ummm.... Hey Ash Babe Whats Up?? No, No, No!"
Suddenly Taylor heard a sudden burst of crying. "Oh crap!" he thought.
Amanda ran down the stairs & out the door. Taylor ran down after her. Ashley came in the room just as Amanda ran out the door. Taylor ran passed her & stopped.
"I'm sorry Ash I have to go!" Taylor ran after Amanda but she ran too fast & she got away.
Later that day the phone rang. Ashley picked it up.
"Hello?" Ashley asked.
"Is Ashley there?" asked a sad voice.
"This is she," said Ash puzzled.
"Hi Ash, this is Amanda,"
"Hey, what's wrong,"
"Everything!"
"Well.... what's wrong with everything?"
"TAYLOR!"
"What's wrong with Taylor?" asked Ashley getting interesting.
"He well ... we broke up!" Amanda started to cry again.
"Really!" said Ash a little to excited, "I mean, awww to bad. Why?"
"because ... well...... because he likes you!"
Ashley was stunned! Could what Amanda said be true? Has he finally begun to like her?
"Hello?"
Ashley came to her senses.
"Ummmm......Really?" was all she could get out.
Ding! Dong!
"Gotta go!" Ashley jumped at the bell. She slammed down telephone & ran to get the door.
Ash swung open the door.
"Hi," Taylor said.
"Mum... Hi," said Ashley starting to blush.
"What?" asked Taylor as he looked down at his fly.
"Oh nothing," said Ashley a little embarrassed.
"Sorry I ran out on you the other day," said Taylor.
"That's ok, I under stand," Ashley replied with a little wink not meant to be seen.
"What do you mean?" asked Taylor.
"Well...."
"Tell me,"
"Hmmmm"
"Come on already! I'm your best friend!"
"Well....."
Taylor sighed.
"Well Amanda called the today..."
Taylor turned white.
"Are you ok? Taylor?"
"Uhhhh" Taylor said in almost a whisper.
"Taylor she told me...all of it!" Ashley started to get a little happier.
Taylor just stood there. He couldn't move if he tried. Ashley started to get scared. What if Amanda heard wrong, or she heard wrong!? All Taylor could do is turn & run. He ran to Amanda's as fast as he could. Ashley sat down. Tears filled her eyes & she started to cry. Why had she done that why?!
