Our Story

My husband, Jeff, and I met in 2003.  A mutual friend, Kevin, set us up on a blind date.  We first met for dinner at an Olive Garden in Novi, Michigan.  I remember thinking how cute and sweet he was.  Jeff remembers not feeling well and almost backing out.  At our first date we found out that Kevin had mixed up a few details when telling us about the other one.  Kevin told Jeff that I was older than what I was, and Kevin told me that Jeff was younger than what he was.  While there is only four and a half years difference in our age, at the time, it seemed like a whole lot of years.

When Jeff ordered the all you can eat pasta, I remember how he bragged about how he was going to try every kind they had that night.  Jeff's eyes were bigger than his stomach that day, and that is one point that I tease him about from time to time.  After a nice dinner, with your normal first date small talk Jeff whipped out his phone (I thought it was to call someone and was very offended!) and asked for my number.  Little did I know that he planned on deleting it the moment we parted.

Jeff thought I was too young...but little did he know how determined I can be!  I called my friend Kevin to find out the scoop.  After a week I was told that Jeff just thought I was too young (I was really not that young).  I did not give up!  I then called him!  We chatted for quite some time.  This is typically the point in the story where Jeff says "and I have been chasing her ever since."

Jeff proposed on the 4th of July, 2005.  We were married July 9, 2006 and the rest of our story is still being written but it will be good!
