  • Organ Studies - 1960-1970 Studied Pop, Jazz and Theatre organ styles under the tutelage of Rita Bettis in Wauconda, IL.

  • Organ Studies - 1974-1979 Studied Classical Pipe Organ performance and Music Theory with Dr. Wayne Wyrembelski a pupil of Marilyn Mason and Robert Glasgow at the University of Michigan. Performed in a Master Class with Dr. John Obetz from Kansas City MO.

  • Advanced Organ Studies – 1996-1997 Attended University of Arizona and studied with the Director of Graduate studies, Dr. Roy Johnson. Performed the J.S. Bach ‘great’ Prelude and Fugue in A minor for my jury evaluation.

  • Jazz Piano Studies – 1981-1984 While attending Pima Community College in Tucson AZ, I was tutored by Michael Greco, a veteran of the Woody Herman Orchestra. My studies included advanced harmonization and improvisational skills. I learned how to chart material for bands ranging from quintet to 17 piece orchestras.

  • Classical Piano Studies – 1986-1988 Enrolled at the Bay View Conservatory and studied under Nancy Zipay, a resident Concert Artist. Material included Chopin, Brahms, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven And Grieg. Performed a one hour all Chopin program at the Cathedral of St. Mary in Gaylord MI in July of 1988.

  • Pima Community College - !981-82 Cumulative GPA 3.85 National Honors Society

  • University of Arizona – 1982-84 Cumulative GPA 3.90 Bachelor of Liberal Arts

  • University of Arizona – 1996-97 Cumulative GPA 4.00 Masters in Organ Performance - 9 Credit Hours toward Degree
