Jason Kronan Bio

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 190

Well, I was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and I'm the best thing that ever came out of that town. I got hooked on wrestling when I went to see my first WWF event. I was about 16 at the time.

I got involved in a backyard league shortly after....big mistake. I got hurt a lot. It toughened me up but it isn't any way your going to make it into pro wrestling. My first gimmick I joked around with was John "The Body" Supreme. My outfit had so many frills on it it was disgusting. My next gimmick was Insane J. I had face paint and everything. I almost brought that gimmick with me when I first turned pro. I even made a spandex Hannibal Lectur mask and everything, it was funny. But I guess I realized I would have looked ridiculous. Anyway, someone (who shall remain nameless) heard of me and I ended up getting trained for the real thing by several different Pros, some from Canada and some from the United States. I learned a hell of a lot and soon after, my career began. I'll admit, it sucked at the beginning. I had shadows of talent but I didn't know how to bring them into the light. I was lost, I was boring and had no persona at all. I had my first match on December 27, 1997. It was a terrible match with no psychology at all. I remember we each did three moves and then took it home. The crowd loved us though (it was sad). That day I was set to debut as Johnny Savaat, from RUSSIA. But at the last minuted I changed my name to Jason Cronen. It was spelled differently because I picked it out of a phone book. I started spelling my name "Kronan" when a promoter misspelled it on a promotional flyer. Funny how things work out sometimes.

I knew I had to do something so I just kept working hard. I used to drive an hour from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids to practice in the ring. I remember practicing in a beat down ring that was falling apart. The building it was in was a total DUMP! It was an old, dirty warehouse filled with dust, pipes, old wood, you name it and it was probably in there. Not a very nice place to practice. One time, when I first started training, I was running the ropes and I just barely saved myself from flying between the top and middle rope. Had I fallen through, I would have gone right through a big giant window the ring was set up next to. Man that scared the $#!t out of me. Anyway, it wasn't much fun. One time I was practicing my Porn Star Press off the top rope, it consists of a front flip with a twist. When I did it the third time I jumped so high my feet hit a flourescent light bulb on the cieling and it exploded. I still landed the move but I had broken glass and small cuts all over me. Classic.

Lifting weights has become a VERY important part of my life. I knew I wanted to be a pro wrestler and I knew I had to get bigger. I started working out my senior year in high school, I was only 148 lbs when I started. By the time I started training to be a pro wrestler a year later, I was about 162 lbs and when I turned pro I was 165. I still looked kind of lanky, 165 isn't much for a 5'11" frame. Over time though I stuck with it and about two years later I was doing everything perfect. I was training so hard, eating everything I had to in order to build more muscle. I eat between 6 and 8 times a day and sometimes I even get up in the middle of the night to eat something. I'm 190 pounds now and at a low bodyfat percentage. I did it all and I will continue to do it all drug free.

A few months into my wrestling career I changed my name to "X-Rated" Jason Kronan and that's been with me ever since. The X-Rated gimmick sets me apart from everyone else and that's what you need to do in order to be successful in pro wrestling. I don't even use the X-Rated monnicker all that much anymore because I don't need it, my personality speaks for itself. People remember Jason Kronan because they remember my personality, my looks, and my wrestling ability.

These days I'm attending school at Grand Valley State University to be a teacher in history and physical education. I've been lucky enough to have met the girl of my dreams, Kimber, and we have been together for quite some time and will be together forever. She's EXTREMELY attractive and has the most amazing personality, she supports me so much and comes to almost all of my shows, I don't know how she puts up with it. Now that I have shows every weekend I can't thank her enough for being so understanding and supportive, I truly am a lucky person to have her in my life.

So what's in store for the future of Jason Kronan. Well, my ultimate goal in wrestling is to make it to the WWF, that's where I belong and that's where I want to go. I'm going to continue to try and make it there until I can't wrestle anymore. The chance to entertain millions of people is something I want so much. Someday, it will be mine, and it will make all of this well worth it.

If I had any advice to give, it would be to follow your dreams. I know that phrase gets overused these days but it's the truth. Anyone can do anything they want in some capacity. If you want to look better, feel better, be more successful, or whatever you want, and you know what you have to do to achieve that, DO IT. Don't sit around, don't wine and complain that it will take too long or be a lot of work, just do it! You can have ANYTHING you want in life, all you have to do is work for it and it's yours. I used to say, "If I had that body, I would be a pro wrestler." Then I finally woke up and stopped wishing I had someone elses body and I went out and worked on my own. It took over three years but now I'm where I always thought I would NEVER be. It's amazing what you can do when you really try, and I mean REALLY try. I'd never be as happy as I am today if I had never tried...

Sincerely,

John...(Jason Kronan)
