A VERY Brief Summary of Ruth Helmus's Work History

Between May 8 and July 28, 2000 I worked at the University of Florida's Whitney Laboratory near St. Augustine, Florida, with Drs. Leonid Moroz and Michael Greenberg focusing on the nervous system of the clam Mercenaria mercenaria. This project was sponsored by the NIH's Research Experience for Undergraduates program.

In the past, I worked with Dr. John Kruger, DVM, at the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Back home in Kentwood, Michigan, I have worked as a part-time kennel attendant at Woodland Veterinary Clinic; in the summer of 1999, I also worked full-time as a zookeeper aide at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids.
