True Love Waits
At the church where I spent my middle and high school years, there was a big emphasis on the True Love Waits program. This movement is a way to show one's committment to sexual purity throughout life. I don't remember when I first signed the True Love Waits card, but I have always been committed to following God's call for His children to live a pure, holy life, pleasing in His eyes. While I can't claim that I have always been perfect in living out this committment, I do know the importance of this goal in my life. Through God's love, the mistakes I have made in this area in the past have been forgiven, and my life is pure in His eyes.
My True Love Waits committment is a personal decision to not engange in sexual activity or any actions which could lead to sexual activity. I also commit myself to leading a monogamous, non-adulterous life when I do become married. My committment is to myself, to my husband, to my children, and to God. I encourage everyone to consider making the same choice for your life.
