I met Alan for the first time when we had dinner together with Katie. We talked about a small group they were thinking of starting and what had brought us to the points we were at in our lives at the time. Alan and Katie talked a lot about the great church they went to, and it encouraged me to look into attending their church.
In effect, Alan was very instrumental in getting me back into church. He's been a solid person to turn to ever since. He's always available to listen and very willing to help whenever I need it. Not only can he tackle emotional issues, but Alan is also incredibly intelligent, as any good engineer should be. His talent with computers and problems in general has been of great assistance to me.
