On a recent trip downstate I had the opportunity to stop in a bait and tackle shop in South Haven on the shore of Lake Michigan. As I looked around at all the tackle and wished that I had a couple thousand to spend, I picked out four spoons to try on Lake Superior. Hey, it was said that they worked on Lake Michigan so why not give it a try.
Anyway, when I brought the lures to the counter to pay for them, the woman said to let her know how they worked for me. I asked her for a toll free number to call her as I lived in the UP on Lake Superior. When she asked where and I told her she told me that her and her husband had a cabin near me. Lo and behold their camp is about 40 miles from my front door. It is a small world after all.
