I AM WITH YOU
You are here with me,
in my mind, in my heart...
and I am with you.
I think about you, your life.
I often wonder what you are doing.
Are you standing, like me,
beneath the night sky
with stars twinkling overhead,
longing for me as I'm longing for you?
Does the calm of night bring you solace?
Do you realize that though we are apart,
we stand beneath the same sky,
wish upon the same stars?
As I feel the evening breeze caress me,
I imagine I can feel it caress you also,
for I think you are there,
gazing at the stars, thinking of me.
These musings are repeated nightly
as I come to be with you.
I close my eyes, I think my thoughts....
Then you are here with me,
in my mind and in my heart.
And I am with you.
