Ilana's Tré Cool Music Homepage

Welcome to my homepage!!! I've put a list of bands at the bottom of the page (well....somewhat the bottom of the page), and I'll update it regularly. Be patient!! I'm working on it!!

To begin, I'd like to tell you some stuff about myself. I'm from Villanova, PA...about 20 miles outside of Center City Philadelphia. I am a devoted musician. I played 5 instruments, but the only instrument that I can actually make music on is double bass. I go to Oberlin Conservatory and I love it. It's so great! Everyone should go to Oberlin. I have this great roommate named Laura...she's from Madison, WI. I might as well give a shout out to all my other Obie buds (in no particular order): Nick, Mark, Bill, Anna, Casey, Brooke, Lara, Graham, Gabe, Art (my mom is taken, ART!), Nic, Sam, Peter, Tessa, Miriam, Amanda, Wes, Theresa, Yoko, Jesse, Ashlynn, Meagan, Bridget, Julie, Jen, and everyone else I hope I didn't forget. Anyway, as I was saying earlier, Oberlin is the #1 pot school in the USA, so everyone should light a bowl and come on over!

I'm having a great time at Oberlin, in part, because I finally have time to practice! I've been waiting to practice for 3 hours a day for a long time, and now I finally can. The atmosphere is really inspiring too...there's always someone practicing at any given time of the day. I went back to my old high school and one teacher said, "Wow, you look the happiest I've ever seen you." I felt like saying, "Yeah, because I don't go here anymore." I'm having the time of my life doing what I need/want to do.

I'm really big on Buddhism. I considered myself Buddhist up until last year, when I decided that I'm a mixture of many beliefs, not just Buddhist. Here's a page I dedicated to Buddhism.

So, after having been completely yelled at by my friend Alyson (note her contributions to my guestbook...), I have decided to dedicate an entire page to her. So here it is, my Alyson Tribute.

As well as being a musician, I like to write. Check out some of my writings.

This summer I went to Europe with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. I was soexcited to go to Europe again!! We played in the Czech Republic and Italy. We were invited to play in some big festivals where we are the only youth orchestra invited. It's a big and highly prestigious deal. It was okay...we didn't get to play as much as I had hoped, but it was really fun anyway. Italy is amazing.

I used to love Beavis and Butthead. Note the use of the past tense. Their whacked sense of humor cracked me up every time. Over the years, I've collected a bunch of their sound files. So, here is the page devoted to Beavis and Butthead Sounds.
