We spent a whole day checking out one of natures
most powerful forces. It was a sight to behold.
The smoke and heat and the unreal landscape was all
that I had hoped it would be. The molten rock was
dark red and black. I was amazed at the many shapes
the lava makes when the it cools. The size of the
Kilauea Volcano is huge, it makes you feel so small.
We did not feel any earthquakes while we were at the
volcano. I understand that, this part of Hawaii gets
more quakes than California.
We really had a great day at the Hawaii Volcanoes
National Park. I would like to go back when there is
a
major eruption going on!
