    The World and its People

For years people have been trying to calculate when the end of the world would occur. Everyone has a different opinion on when this time is. When you look around, you can see how this could be true.

There is a problem when it comes to peace. Violence not only rips apart the adult world, but also the world of children. There have been far too many school shootings. A parent should be at home (if finances allow) until the child has made it though elementary school. It's very important for parents to have an active roll in their children's' lives. They should help out at school events, read to them, teach their children manners, and try to answer their questions as best they can. There is a little poem that states children learn what they live. (this poem can be found by going to my collection of poems and more page) When a child is taught values, morals and empathy, he or she will grow into a peaceful, well adjusted person.

Also, people have trouble seeing eye to eye sometimes. Countries and individuals alike find it much simpler to argue their points rather than trying to find a peaceful way out. Well, every plant starts from a seed. So, if you are reading this page try not to fight when in anger. World peace must start as a small seed before it can grow into a plant. Get along with the people in your life and teach them to get along with others. You can make a difference in this world... if your willing to make the effort.

There is a person in every race who needs help. It is not just one race being afflicted and there is no possible way that racial tension can end until there are no rules that give benefits of one race over another. There really is no need in today's society for laws such laws or for pointless practices such as racial profiling. All people are supposed to be equal and that is how they should be treated.

    Religion

Religion is very important, not just by the books (e.g.. Bible, or Torah or any holy book), but by the heart. I do not go to church myself, but I believe in God. The belief has helped me through tough times. My point is that you can achieve what ever it is you want, as long as you believe (Most importantly in yourself). Whatever religion you can fall back on whether it is Christian, Jewish, Hindi... can give even more strength to your believe in yourself. Margaret Fishback Powers wrote a very inspirational poem called "Footprints". Read this poem and when ever you are down, think about it, and smile. :)
