What Happened?

July 2001
Saturday, 14th- This calendar thing is something new that I'm trying. I'll write what's happening each day (that I remember to). I'm pretty bad at keeping journals, so we'll see how long this will last.
Today I'm not doing much. I added a flash intro to the page, also this calendar. So, what do you think? Sign my guestbook and let me know.

Friday, 3rd- Ok, so we all know now just how bad I am at keeping up with this kind of stuff. It's just hard to log into my page every day. I'll try to get better as time goes on. My best buddy finally signed my guestbook. So, by his request, I'm writing more here and will put up some more pictures.

In the time that I wrote last wrote this is what happened.
I went to see Blink 182 in July. They were awesome! I love how they had their stage set up. In the center was a large metal statue that said "BLINK" and they had pyrotechnics that were extremely well done. I thought they were not going to play my favorite song, "Damn It", but they saved it for their very last song.

I've been spending most of my time trying to get things wrapped up for college. I'm starting to get kinda nervous about going. I got lots of support, so I know I'll do fine.
I'm also making a huge crocheted blanket for my sister. I wanted to give it to her as a present before I leave. It's starting to look like it might be a Christmas present.

I got a letter in the mail saying that I got a scholarship for my portfolio. I'm really happy about that because I need all the money help I can get. ....as most college students know.
That's about all for now. I'll try to write more soon.

Tuesday, 21st- Today I will be getting my new computer. I hope it's as good as I had it made to be. I'll probably be bragging enough for you to know if it is. I haven't been doing too much. Still just trying to pack up for college. I have a puppy now. She is so cute. I'll put a picture of her up here some where.
I'm also working on a new web page for my art work. So far it's looking cute. I'm going to do all the graphics on the site. If you want to take a look the address is http://www.envy.nu/irene00/. It was very hard to get everything lined up correctly.
Also, I have added more of my favorite songs to my list.

Monday, 17th- Wow, It's been along time since I wrote something on here. I'm at college! I've been here since the 7th. I couldn't work on my page from the school computer lab and I just got things set up today.

Let's see here. My roommate is cool. We're getting along well so far. There shouldn't be any problems there. We had all kinds of goofy meetings for the first week that I got here. They had a dance that they made us do team building activities at. Not fun at all. I just sat and talked to a kid making fun of everything until they divided everyone by birthdate. Then they made us do the stuff. There have also been alot of hall meetings for my dorm.

I think my classes are going to go well. I should ace my english class after having AP english. I was disappointed that I didn't bring my portfolio down with me. If I had I could have tried getting out of Drawing I. I'm glad I didn't now though. My teacher seems like a real cool guy. He showed us some of his art work. One is a drawing of his baby. It is so cute, I can't even begin to explain it. It's a larger than life pastel on canvas. People want to buy it from him, but he likes it too much. He's even been offered $25,000 for it! I don't know about my Color Theory class. It seems like it's going to be hard. We'll see.

A week ago today I met someone at breakfast. His name is Chris. We walked around Savannah the whole day getting a feel of where things are and talking. We've spent alot of time together. It has made the whole transition here alot easier. Chris is a real nice guy, very easy to talk with. He's from Alabama. We are dating now. I hope everything goes well.

Monday, 8th- I'm sorry that it took me so long to update this. There is not much time for free stuff here. I've saw a couple movies on CD and VHS, but nothing in the theater.
My classes are going ok. The assignments are going well, but a lot harder than I ever thought they would be.
Today was the craziest day I've had here so far. I had a meeting with my advisor early in the morning. I forgot my keys in my room so I had to hang around until Aimee got back from her class. Then I forgot my project for class back in my dorm room. I was going to go back to get it and was given wrong information about the bus so there was no way I could make it back here and out to class on time. When the bus finally showed up I ran for it and dropped my ID on the ground. The driver was nice and turned around for me and then she dropped me off at my dorm rather than the dorm she was supposed to by her route. She was real nice and made my day a little better. But the day is not over yet and I'm worried for what is next. I hate to say that. I have to do laundry tonight. Oh no!

Well, that's about all that's going on here. Chris and I are still together. He's still treating me right :)
