Sixties

Hippie Chick

Over the past couple years I have become increasingly more interested in the 1960s, and have by now, denied the fact that I was born in the eighties . The music in the sixties was wonderful... I mean how much more diverse can you get? The Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, and Janis Joplin as opposed to Jefferson Airplane, the Beatles, and the Mamas and the Papas. Another great thing about the sixties was the clothes. I love bellbottoms and fringed shirts. I think peace signs should be a part of everyone's wardrobe. I think wearing flowers in your hair is a wonderful fashion statement. Unfortunately most people nowadays don't share my opinions. Oh well... The art in the sixties was great too. When else could a tin can painted green be considered a masterpiece? When else could a picture of a cardboard box win an award. And when else could you cover yourself in pant and roll around on a canvas? Well, I suppose those things could happen now, but if they did they would be called 'strange'. Anyway ... here are some groovy links.

Timothy Leary's Home Page
Dr. LSD himself. Leary was one of the first to experiment with 'acid' and its effects on people (mind expansion). He and his followers were quite an interesting bunch, and his house was outtasite! Check it out!

Intrepid Trips
Go here. I have nothing more to say, just make sure you see this page! "Never trust a prankster."

Hippy Land Hippie Magazine
This is kinda an odd page, but it has some great links as well as a wide variety of information. Some of it is not meant to be taken seriously so be warned...
