This Web site is not erected for those who are too weak in mind and faith to stand up for those who are innocent and are willing to take the time to seek out the truth.   On the other hand, it is dedicated to those artless and innocent victims who have been put upon by that part of the mental health system that relies on tomfoolery and coercion to accomplish its ends and to perform its services (sic): most often, the general public (who are propagandized by psychiatrists, politicians, and especially the judiciary — who have bought into psychaitry's myths);   those not fortunate enough to be able to stand against a world seemingly united in self-seeking power without mercy, popularity without entertainment, and wealth without value.

What is "POEM"?   A PEOM supposedly stands for Patient-Oriented Evidence That Matters.   This is what the expert, the professional, tells you if you ask.   Looking at the so-called definition of the word as it is given here, you would think that the patient had something to do with the outcome.   But examining the matter more closely, one finds that, once again there are suprises when dealing with professionals and expecially when they are presumed to be trustworthy and dependable, speaking words as good as gold.   "Patient-Oriented" simply means that the patient was observed to be what ever the outcome came to be in the eyes of the administrator of the patient's environment.   The patient never is asked to tell of his experience, and, if he should and it goes against what the practitioner believes himself to be, of course the patient's words and observations, his experiences are without credibility.

Subject:   RESEARCHERS SEEK GUINEAU PIG POOL

---------------------------------------------

Dear Friends,

We need immediate help from everywhere in the U.S. & outside the U.S. to vigorously oppose a legislative amendment that passed the California Assembly (May 15, 2002) and is now with the California Senate Judiciary Committee.

The bill will make it easy to obtain "proxy consent" so that almost any relative can enter another relative who does not have the capacity to consent into medical experiments or clinical trials that do not promise benefit and may lead to adverse outcomes.

This bill would overturn the fundamental principle of the Nuremberg Code, requiring the consent of the individual. This bill would also overturn the current California Medical Experimentation Act that now adequately protects the interests of the person.

Since the researchers have considerable organizational support, we need grassroots organizations to oppose the amendment with the name of the organization opposing the amendment. The researchers have been conducting such research without legally valid informed consents and now they are working to change the law to make it easy to obtain research subjects.

(Following the death of Abby McIntyre we previously had a successful campaign stopping medical experiments on clients at Metropolitan State Hospital in Los Angeles County.)

Please write a short opposition in the space provided at our Website.

Feel free to forward this e-mail to friends who might want to write a short opposition to this legislation.

Thanks for your help.

Bob Aller.
