Grafik-Design und Druck-Technologie
I finished a graphic design and print technology high school in Slovenia.
As an intern at a printing house “Ljudske pravice” I was learning the entire printing process and how to operate printing machines. During that period I completed a professional exam. On completing internship I continued with the same printing house where for two years I worked on four colour Planeta offset machine B1 format and five colour offset Heildelberg B1 format.
Afterwards, I worked for two years on a contract for the publishing house “Obzorja”, Maribor and the publishing house “Domus”, Ljubljana.
As a semi-professional musician I worked for 8 years as a freelance musician playing across Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
In 1999 I took a job as a receptionist for a Savoy company.
In 2001 I became a delivery driver for the “Vrhnika” bakery, driving cargo van and truck across Slovenia.
In 2003 I joined a company “Smer 2000” as a graphic designer and installer. I was responsible for designing and preparing files for printing and publishing: designing flyers, ads, brochures, books, magazines and so on. This included vectorisation of the files for cutting on self-adhesive foil and installing the graphics on exhibitions, fairs, window displays, vehicles and so on.
I also created, cut and installed interior and exterior signposts for business premises, worked on wide format solvent printers, as well as maintained and repaired servers and IT equipment to ensure their proper functioning.
From 2004 until 2007 I extended this experience with the company “Pet” in Ljubljana where apart from this work I also designed and developed internet sites for clients and worked on laser and CNC milling machines for cutting using different materials.
In 2007 I have started my own graphic design and printing company “Logo plus” where I combine all of this work, but also coordinate external suppliers and clients. I am also responsible for the financial aspect of my firm.
My company is still running, but because of the ongoing economical crisis in Slovenia, my ambition is to move onward. I wish to join a graphic and printing company that will welcome (my previous experience) and that will gain from my previous experience. I hope I can extend my knowledge there and contribute to their future success.
I am fluent in Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian, and I have sufficient communication skills in English. I also understand German, Italian and Macedonian.
